Fans of George R.R. Martin’s book series have already pointed out that the show is diverging from the original story, and Season 3 continues this pattern. In a trailer for the new season, Aegon says he’ll either kill his brother or die trying – a line that doesn’t appear in the book Fire & Blood. Tom Glynn-Carney, who plays King Aegon II Targaryen, recently spoke with ComicBook about where his character’s head is at, along with Harry Collett, who plays Prince Jacaerys Velaryon.

Screenwriter David Koepp recently discussed the future of the Jurassic World series, specifically a potential sequel sometimes referred to as Jurassic World Rebirth. He explained to ScreenRant that while Universal is working on another film, a major hurdle remains: no one has yet found a way to convincingly and realistically continue the story from a scientific standpoint.

We’ll have to wait a little while longer for the new DLC to come out, but that gives fans like me plenty of time to imagine what we want to see in Pokopia. I’ve already shared some important features the game needs, and now I’m making a wish list of new Pokémon to add to the Pokémon Pokopia Pokédex with the Bubbly Basin expansion. Since the expansion focuses on the ocean, I’m focusing on Pokémon that could realistically live underwater.

The Mandalorian and Grogu gave fans plenty to enjoy too. The series reintroduced popular Star Wars characters in an exciting story, while also demonstrating that the franchise could move forward without relying heavily on Jedi, Sith, or Skywalker lore. Like many entries in the universe, it included Easter eggs and references to past material – even bringing back a ship originally cut from a project twelve years earlier.

I was really struck by the story of this girl’s difficult life, and I watched as Takopi genuinely tried to grapple with complicated feelings and achieve his aim – though it seemed much harder in practice than it sounded. Taizan5 is most famous for this work, but they’ve also created several short stories and another manga since 2020. Just a year after Takopi’s Original Sin came out, they published The Ichinose Family’s Deadly Sins in Weekly Shonen Jump. It didn’t get much notice for years, but it’s finally getting some recognition now that Viz Media has announced they’ll be releasing it in English for the first time.

A major question surrounding X-Men ‘97 Season 2 was how it would handle changes in creative leadership after Beau De Mayo stepped down as showrunner. While he’s still credited on some episodes, he’s previously expressed concerns about his original vision being altered. The season starts right where the first one left off, scattering the X-Men across three different eras: 3000 AD, 1997, and a distant future. This introduces two versions of Apocalypse (voiced by Ross Marquand), while Bishop and Forge remain in the ‘90s to coordinate a rescue mission. Thankfully, unlike the 2016 X-Men: Apocalypse movie, this season gives the villain a compelling storyline.

Digimon fans have been eagerly awaiting a Nintendo Switch version of Time Stranger. Now, it’s finally coming – not just to the upcoming Switch 2, but also to the original Switch! While the complete game launches on July 10th, Bandai has released a free demo now. This lets Switch and Switch 2 owners try out the gameplay before the official release next month. Early impressions of how the game performs on the Switch 2 are very positive.

A follow-up film, Son of the Mask, was made without Jim Carrey or the original director, Chuck Russell. Recently, while talking to ComicBookMovie, Russell discussed the possibility of another Mask sequel starring Carrey. He said people often ask him about it and he’d be happy to return if Carrey were involved, but a new film isn’t currently in development. He described the idea as ‘lovely,’ though.

Russell Crowe has said the biggest challenge while filming Gladiator was staying true to the strong moral character of Maximus. There was pressure from the studio and producers to include a sexual relationship between Maximus and the female characters, but Crowe consistently resisted. Although director Ridley Scott understood the potential appeal of such a scene, he supported Crowe’s decision, and the film ultimately didn’t include any intimate scenes between Maximus and his co-star, Connie Nielsen.
