Once Human Surpasses 231,000 Players on Steam

As a dedicated gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of game launches that generated buzz and controversy in equal measure. But none have quite captured my attention like Starry Studio’s Once Human. Despite the initial hiccups with its Terms of Service and data policy, this survival sandbox shooter has managed to leave me utterly captivated.

In spite of the ongoing debates concerning Starry Studio’s Terms of Service and data policy, the game “Once Human” by Starry Studio has reached a significant milestone on Steam with over 231,000 players simultaneously playing it only two days ago. The survival sandbox shooter surpassed 200,000 players in the last 24 hours, suggesting that this surge in player numbers is not just limited to weekends.

Initially, “Once Human” received a divided response upon release, boasting a 59% positive rating from 8,959 Steam users. Yet, the game has since gained significant attention with a total of 26,886 user reviews. A noteworthy 67% of these new assessments were favorable, although the overall Steam rating remains “Mixed.” Despite this, “Once Human” has been thriving for Singularity Studio Group and its corporate entity, NetEase.

In a post-apocalyptic world, I find myself playing the role of a Meta-Human in Once Human. Our mission is to battle against the relentless invasion of Stardust. The game offers various engaging mechanics such as base-building, crafting, scavenging for loot, and even operating vehicles. I’ve had the chance to explore this title, and while it provided some enjoyment, I assigned it a score of six out of ten.
