An actor from both Spider-Man: No Way Home and Ms. Marvel is joining the Wonder Man series on Disney+, Disney and Marvel Studios have confirmed. Fans have been wondering how Wonder Man will fit into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially given its focus on satirizing superhero movies and the entertainment industry. Now we know: the series will connect to events and characters from previous MCU projects, specifically Spider-Man: No Way Home and Ms. Marvel.
According to the Winter 2025 issue of Disney’s D23 Magazine, Arian Moayed has been confirmed to appear in the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Wonder Man. Moayed is already known to Marvel fans for playing Agent P. Cleary in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Ms. Marvel, where he worked as part of the Department of Damage Control.
D23 Magazine revealed more about Agent Cleary’s role, confirming he’s been transferred to Los Angeles by the DODC. The article hinted that Moayed’s character will have enjoyable interactions with both Trevor (Slattery) and Simon (Williams), while still carrying out his duties.
He’s been transferred to Los Angeles. He enjoys working with Trevor and Simon, and he’s committed to his duties at the DODC.
Marvel and Disney have announced that Agent Cleary and the Department of Damage Control will be monitoring Simon, potentially hinting at how long Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s character has possessed his powers.
The new Marvel series, Wonder Man, is coming to Disney+ on January 27, 2026. It will have six episodes, and each one is expected to be longer than any previous episode in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
How Agent Cleary and the DODC Impact Wonder Man

As we’ve discussed, the revelation that the Department of Damage Control has been monitoring Simon Williams could significantly impact the show’s overall storyline. Ever since the series was announced, viewers have been speculating about the origin of Simon’s abilities and how he obtained them.
Several ideas surfaced about where Simon got his powers, including one suggesting the director of the Wonder Man film was responsible. However, the fact that the DODC has been monitoring Simon for a while makes that explanation unlikely.
We don’t know how long Simon has had his abilities, but whatever he did to get the DODC’s attention must have been significant. This makes the source of his powers even more puzzling, and viewers are eager to find out the truth by watching Wonder Man.
