As a huge fan of The X-Files, I’m thrilled to hear that Disney+ is finally getting the Director’s Cut of I Want to Believe on June 11th, 2026! It’ll be available as an extra on the movie’s page, which is awesome. Now, we’ve had an extended cut on DVD and Blu-ray since 2008 – about four minutes longer than what we saw in theaters – but this Director’s Cut is different. Apparently, Chris Carter, the creator and director, had to cut some genuinely scary stuff to get the movie approved by the studio and the ratings board back in the day. This new version restores all of that lost content, so it’s essentially the film he originally intended us to see. I can’t wait!

PC gamers can get the RPG Tower of Time for free for just over 24 hours after it’s released. The offer isn’t on Steam directly, but through a site called Fanatical. To claim the free game, you’ll need to create a free Fanatical account and connect it to your Steam account. You don’t need to sign up for any newsletters to get this deal. Keep in mind that the offer is only available for a limited time and while supplies last – it’s possible they’ll run out before the 24 hours are up.

Man, it’s crazy to think it’s been eight years since 2018! That feels like the peak of the PS4 era. But back then, Red Dead Redemption 2 came out and totally changed what an open-world game could be. Honestly, nothing has come close since. We’ve seen some amazing open-world titles, like Crimson Desert recently, but they just don’t quite measure up. I really think GTA 6 is the only game that’s going to surpass it when it drops later this year, and then that will be the new standard until Rockstar releases Red Dead Redemption 3 or GTA 7. It’s like Rockstar just keeps raising the bar!

It was previously planned to release next week, on the 28th May.

The game is currently the top pre-ordered title on the PlayStation Store in both the US and the UK. We believe the free upgrade to the Deluxe Edition and the offer of one-day early access are likely contributing to its popularity.
