Athletics: Women’s 100m Hurdles Heats

As a seasoned sports journalist with a particular fondness for track and field, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing some truly electrifying moments at major athletic competitions. Having covered numerous Olympic Games and World Championships, I’ve come to appreciate the grit, determination, and sheer talent that athletes bring to the table.


In clear and conversational style: Hurdles are the most perilous event in athletics, I hope every athlete can compete fairly. Jasmine Camacho-Quinn from Puerto Rico is the reigning Olympic champion, looking strong. Devynne Charlton from the Bahamas won the 60m indoor race, but I’m not entirely sure she has what it takes for the final stretch. Tobi Amusan from Nigeria holds the world record and left everyone astonished at the 2022 World Championships, making us doubt the accuracy of the clock!
