As a long-time fan who’s followed the ups and downs of our beloved heroes in My Hero Academia, I must say that the time skip revelation of Mirio Togata as the new number one hero has left me utterly thrilled! It’s been an emotional rollercoaster watching these characters grow from kids to seasoned pros, and Mirio’s journey has truly been inspiring.
In its final chapter, the popular manga series My Hero Academia, published by Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, takes a leap into the future to unveil who will become the new top hero. After ten years of storytelling and with Izuku Midoriya and his peers graduating from U.A. Academy, the series concludes as they embark on their individual careers as heroes or pursue other paths in life.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but express my excitement over the final chapter of My Hero Academia. It leaps eight years ahead into the future, painting a picture where I, still at U.A. Academy as a teacher, have depleted my energy reserves for One For All. Yet, my former classmates and other budding heroes have soared to incredible heights in their professional lives. The new number one hero, remarkably, is none other than Lemillion, Mirio Togata, who climbed the ranks swiftly, outpacing even some of the top-tier heroes along the way.
My Hero Academia: Mirio as the New Top Hero
In Chapter 430 of My Hero Academia, Deku reminisces about their past battles against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki while they were still in school. Later on, it’s unveiled that he now serves as a teacher at U.A. Academy and closely monitors the progress of his former classmates such as Katsuki Bakugo, particularly their performance in pro hero rankings. Interestingly enough, Bakugo has been sliding down the ranks, while Shoto Todoroki is gradually breaking free from his father’s legacy. Deku also mentions that Mirio has significantly risen to the pinnacle of the chart, surpassing both Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady.
As a die-hard fan, I’ll put it this way: Deku shares how Neito Monoma, Juzo Honenuki, and my idol Mirio have been consistently excelling, climbing the hero ranks together. Mirio himself even admitted to feeling jitters about it all. This only serves to prove that Sir Nighteye’s prophecy for Mirio has indeed materialized. He had foreseen that his protégé would become the top hero, bringing joy to the masses one day. Though Mirio has faced numerous challenges since then, it’s now evident that he’s living up to that dream and is undoubtedly at the pinnacle of the ranks in our future.
