Slow Horses season 4 screening confirmed for An Evening with Radio Times at the BFI

As a cinephile with a penchant for spy dramas and a soft spot for the enigmatic world of espionage, I can hardly contain my excitement for the impending return of “Slow Horses.” With a month to go before its season 4 premiere, the anticipation has reached fever pitch, and I’m thrilled that TopMob is offering an exclusive sneak peek at the premiere episode at their special screening.

In about a month, we’ll finally get to see the fourth season of Slow Horses, and honestly, I can’t wait for its gripping spy storyline to resume!

Indeed, it’s beneficial that TopMob provides an opportunity for early viewing of the premier episode in a unique screening event.

On Monday, 2nd September, an event titled “Meet TopMob at BFI Southbank in London” is scheduled to take place. During this gathering, the premiere of season 4’s first episode will be shown, followed by a question-and-answer session with actors such as Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, and Christopher Chung.

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting answers from River Cartwright or are curious about what might happen in season 4, tickets will be available for purchase starting tomorrow (August 8th) at noon.

Tickets will be available to purchase directly on the BFI website.

Since seasons 3 and 4 of the popular Apple TV+ series were filmed consecutively, we didn’t have to wait an extended period for the latest episode to arrive.

Nonetheless, we’re eagerly looking forward to their comeback in the realm of spying, since we get to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones too.

In this new installment, the narrative draws inspiration from Mick Herron’s novel “Spook Street”. The storyline commences with an explosive incident that not only unearths hidden truths but also causes seismic shockwaves to the fragile structures of Slough House, further destabilizing them.

The upcoming season has not disclosed many details yet, but it’s confirmed that several recurring characters from Slough House will be back. These include River Lowden, Saskia Reeves portraying Catherine Standish, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander, and Kadiff Kirwan in the role of Marcus Longridge.

For season 4, we’ll have some fresh additions such as Hugo Weaving from “Lord of the Rings,” Joanna Scanlan from “The Thick of It,” and Ruth Bradley from “Ted Lasso” joining our cast.

Additionally, it’s evident that he is no longer the man he once was due to a gradual deterioration, as he now exhibits signs of dementia. Watching River navigate through genuine challenges, confront aspects of his past, and grapple with current issues that are particularly weighty for him adds depth to the storyline.

“So River takes a battering, he’s losing some of his boyishness there.”

Absolutely! Lots to anticipate, especially since Season 4 kicks off mere two days post the TopMob event at BFI. Why not be a step ahead and catch the premiere’s first episode before its official release?

As a devoted fan of both literature and captivating television series, I can’t help but share my excitement about two upcoming events that are sure to satisfy my cravings for both. First, if you’re looking for an engaging live event, I highly recommend purchasing tickets for “An Evening with TopMob” on the BFI website right away. Having followed TopMob’s work closely over the years, I can assure you that this will be a unique opportunity to gain insights into their creative process and perhaps even get a sneak peek at future projects.
