As a movie fan, I’m really intrigued by Lillard’s new character. He’s not a mysterious villain, but someone fascinating – a guy who doesn’t seem to care about the usual respect given to Kingpin, and who clearly has enough power that Wilson Fisk actually acknowledges it, maybe even fears what he stands for. The first episode reveals a lot: this Mr. Charles is always eating, he’s a CIA operative, basically a problem-solver, and he’s powerful enough to go up against Fisk without facing immediate consequences. What’s really unsettling is how casually he orders people to their deaths and then handles the aftermath. He describes himself as a logistics guy, and that feels… accurate. It’s also interesting how the MCU continues to show parts of the American government as potentially the real villains here.

The second season of Born Again starts with Heather Glenn (Margarita Levieva) still haunted by her near-fatal encounter with the serial killer, Muse. She experiences frightening visions of him, as he returns as a psychological tormentor. It’s exciting to see Muse again, even though other, more famous villains might overshadow him. However, the season also reinforces the feeling that Muse’s potential wasn’t fully realized in the first season.

According to Deadline, the upcoming Donnie Yen-led spinoff movie is moving forward with production starting next month. This is exciting news for fans, and points to a potential early 2027 release, though a specific date hasn’t been announced. Donnie Yen will not only star but also direct, and Rina Sawayama will return as Akira in the currently untitled film.

Beyond the three previously announced dates, Marvel Studios has five more confirmed release dates following Secret Wars, though the projects for those dates haven’t been revealed yet. These dates are May 5, 2028; July 28, 2028; December 15, 2028; May 4, 2029; and July 13, 2029. While Deadpool 4 is reportedly in development, and rumors suggest a new X-Men movie is possible, a few projects seem more likely to be released in 2028 and 2029. Unfortunately, the Blade reboot isn’t currently planned for those dates.

Every TV network has had shows cancelled before their time, but NBC seems to have a particularly long list. They’ve recently produced a lot of creative and engaging sci-fi series, only to cancel them, leaving fans disappointed and curious about what might have happened.
