It was even nominated for a 2025 award for best mobile game! The developers are now preparing to release a major update, version 3.0, on December 25th.
Wuthering Waves launched on mobile and PC in 2024, and recently became available on Steam and PlayStation 5 this year. It’s received a very positive response on Steam – an unusual achievement for a free-to-play game! Players can enjoy exploring a vast open world, engaging in action-packed adventures, all with beautiful anime-style graphics and a compelling story. The game is getting a significant update on December 25th, kicking off Chapter 3.
Wuthering Waves 3.0 Update Brings in New Story Content & More
Kuro Games has revealed a trailer showcasing the exciting new content coming to Wuthering Waves on Christmas Day with the 3.0 update, titled Dawnbreaker. This update marks a significant new chapter in the game’s story.
The newest update introduces a captivating story combining sci-fi technology with space romance. Players can look forward to a fresh way to explore the game world with a completely redesigned map. This new map includes new collectibles called Resonators and challenging new monsters to battle as the story progresses.

With the Version 3.0 update on December 25th, new content will be added to Wuthering Waves at no cost. The game is available to download and play for free on PC, iOS, Android, and PlayStation 5, and offers optional items for purchase within the game.
