As a long-time fan of both Among Us and Critical Role, this collaboration feels like a dream come true! Growing up with Dungeons & Dragons and watching Critical Role’s epic adventures, I never thought I’d see these beloved characters as skins in Among Us. The fact that they’ve partnered for the first time since Pillars of Eternity 2 is truly mind-blowing!
Innersloth, creators of the hit social deduction game Among Us, have teamed up with popular streaming show Critical Role. This collaboration will result in a fresh cosmetic collection within the game, featuring characters from Critical Role, an engaging series where voice actors bring to life the world of Dungeons & Dragons. The collection includes 8 character skins, each representing different characters from various campaigns. These cosmetics can be obtained through a Cosmicube called Gilmore’s Curious Cosmicube, which is accessible now for 110 Stars. Characters included in the pack are Laudna, Nott, Chetney, and Fearne.
For the first time in several years, Critical Role is collaborating on a video game, an unexpected move considering its cast members are well-known voice actors with extensive gaming credits. Although there was a DLC for Pillars of Eternity 2 and a partnership with Life Is Strange: True Colors, the brand has otherwise been scarce in the video game world. Despite venturing into various other media like television, podcasts, and comics, Critical Role continues to express a desire to produce a video game.
Over the years, I’ve been thrilled to see Among Us team up with various entities for some cool skins, such as those from Arcane and several indie games. However, this recent collaboration marks their first partnership with a YouTube group since the 2022 cosmetic pack featuring Hololive Productions’ virtual YouTubers and streamers. Some might argue that Critical Role, being a bigger brand, should have been first, but I’m just happy to see more exciting collaborations!

To clarify, it’s important to mention that this isn’t the initial blend of “Among Us” and “Critical Role.” Ashley Johnson, one of the cast members from “Critical Role,” is set to portray the character Purple in an upcoming animated television adaptation of “Among Us.” Production on the show is underway, but as of now, no broadcasting platform or air date have been disclosed.
