Civil War Streaming Premiere Date Confirmed

As someone who has been eagerly awaiting the release of “Civil War” since I caught a glimpse of its trailer, this news about its streaming debut on Max next month has sent me into a frenzy! Being an avid moviegoer and fan of A24’s unique filmmaking style, I can’t help but feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

A24’s second highest-earning film of all time, directed by Alex Garland (known for “Ex Machina” and “Annihilation”), will soon be available for streaming. This production represented a significant risk for the indie studio, being their costliest project to date. However, that risk has proven to be worthwhile, as “Civil War” set a new record for A24’s biggest opening weekend when it hit theaters earlier this year. Now, fans can look forward to enjoying “Civil War” at home, as it readies for its debut on Max.

Excitingly, as a devoted fan, I can’t contain my enthusiasm about Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service securing the rights to stream A24’s latest releases, including “Civil War,” which is set to debut on Max on September 13th. For fans like myself, this will be our first opportunity to stream this highly-anticipated film on a platform, making it more accessible than ever before!

Furthermore, “A24’s Civil War” is among two fresh hits coming to Max’s streaming service in September. Simultaneously, “I Saw the TV Glow,” another A24 production, is set to arrive on Max next month. According to the latest announcement from Max, Jane Schoenbrun’s sophomore film, which has been highly praised by critics this year, will begin streaming on Max starting September 20th, a week following the streaming release of “Civil War.”

New Movies on Max

A24’s latest releases won’t be available on Max until September, but the streaming service has been consistently adding new content throughout August. In fact, the first day of August alone saw over thirty films join Max’s library, featuring titles like Beetlejuice, Pretty Woman, and How to Train Your Dragon.
