Survival horror video games have been having a moment these past few years, and two franchises are leading the charge: Resident Evil and Silent Hill. The former has released multiple remakes and now a new, extremely high-performing game in Resident Evil Requiem. Meanwhile, Silent Hill itself had a remake and some new releases in Silent Hill f, though the latter was a significant departure from the core tenets of the series. Now the latest installment, Silent Hill Townfall, aims to bring the franchise back a bit while also making bold new changes with first-person, instant revive, etc.

And it’s about to get buried all over again!

Xbox boasts over a billion players enjoying games on its platform – including consoles, PCs, mobile devices, and through streaming. However, the company acknowledges it’s now competing for players’ time and attention with everything else – other games, shows, popular franchises, content creators, different types of entertainment, and various apps.

Square Enix has removed four Kingdom Hearts games from the Nintendo Switch eShop: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (with DLC), and Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece. If you haven’t already purchased these games, they are no longer available. If you own them, you’ll have until around this time next year to play, as they are cloud-based games and will stop working when the servers are shut down on June 9, 2027.
