A month following the demise of the actress from “Beverly Hills, 90210”, Rosa Doherty, her mother, has expressed gratitude for the overwhelming affection and encouragement from fans. She also disclosed her intention to carry on with her late daughter’s endeavors.
Mama Rosa expressed on Shannen’s podcast, Let’s Be Clear, on Aug. 14, that she intends to carry on with what we had agreed upon because it’s what she understood she wanted me to do for her. She acknowledged that she isn’t a replacement for her and can’t replicate her eloquence, but she’s here to serve everyone in her best capacity.
The podcast holds a special place in Mama Rosa’s heart as she previously appeared as a guest and got to watch the positive impact it had on her daughter amid her painful stage 4 breast cancer battle.
“Rosa pointed out that it held great significance for her, as she had the chance to witness something truly meaningful for her when it mattered most. Furthermore, she provided assistance during all the challenges she faced.”
Rosa, accompanied by Anne Marie Kortright (Shannen’s friend), shared experiences of running into fans on the street following her daughter’s passing. She expressed joy at the outpouring of affection for Shannen, but added a note of caution when interacting with individuals.
Rosa remarked, “‘You’re welcome to give me a hug,’ she said, ‘but please try not to cry, as it might make me emotional and I find it hard to hold back tears.'”
It is important to Mama Rosa to continue what her daughter started.

In 2020, Shannen, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2015 and achieved remission by 2017, shared her experience of the cancer recurring.
