Sources at Puck News report that Kathleen Kennedy will be stepping down as president of Lucasfilm and will be replaced by two people. Dave Filoni, a longtime creative leader and protégé of George Lucas, and Lynwen Brennan, who currently runs the business side of Lucasfilm, will both serve as co-presidents. This change aligns with previous reports that the president’s role was being split to include both a creative expert and a business manager, though Filoni has never been an executive before. Puck anticipates an official announcement within the next couple of weeks and says Kennedy’s exit interview is already scheduled.
