As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I find myself increasingly impressed by the strides NVIDIA GeForce Now is making in the gaming world. With the addition of 25 new titles, including Black Myth: Wukong and Final Fantasy XVI Demo, it’s clear that GeForce Now is becoming a formidable player in the game streaming market.
By the week’s end, I’ll witness an expansion of 25 games on NVIDIA GeForce Now. Notably, Black Myth: Wukong and Civilization VI are included in this exciting roster that will now be accessible via NVIDIA’s game streaming platform. Furthermore, a demo for Final Fantasy XVI can already be experienced through GeForce Now, offering support for over two dozen complete titles.
Enthusiasts of simulation games have something to look forward to, as Civilization VI, Civilization V, Civilization IV, and Civilization: Beyond Earth are now accessible on GeForce Now too. Not only can anyone enjoy Indiana Jones and the Great Circle via the service, but Ultimate members will be able to experience it with advanced ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction when the game is released later this year.
NVIDIA announced that due to a recent collaboration with Microsoft, the GeForce Now service now allows for automatic sign-in from Xbox. This integration aims to provide a smoother transition between gaming platforms.
It’s unlikely that gamers would object to their preferred games appearing on more platforms, but one might question why Microsoft keeps adding its titles to a rival’s library. Though NVIDIA and Microsoft are rivals in cloud gaming, it’s still beneficial for Microsoft to offer games on NVIDIA GeForce Now because they can monetize through in-app and game purchases, with the revenue going to Microsoft (or Steam or any other platform involved). In essence, NVIDIA acts as a streaming platform, but the financial gains from transactions remain with Microsoft.
In my recent stint as an observer, I took to the digital battlefields of World of Warcraft, not on a local machine, but via NVIDIA GeForce Now. Remarkably, this experience unfolded from within the confines of a hotel room that offered Wi-Fi speeds averaging 8-12 Mbps. To my surprise, the gameplay remained surprisingly smooth and responsive under these conditions. Granted, the visual quality was slightly compromised at such speeds, but it’s hard to deny the impressive nature of this feat.
As a devoted gamer, I can’t help but get excited whenever I hear about new additions to the NVIDIA GeForce Now library! It seems like they’re constantly expanding, adding support for the hottest games as they become trending favorites. With Gamescom 2024 in full swing, there’s a palpable buzz in the gaming community. The growth of GeForce Now’s game selection is sure to keep gamers engaged and help bridge the gap until some eagerly awaited titles finally drop.
