Scarlet Witch Trends After Rumors Claim Wanda Could Return in Vision Series

As a lifelong Marvel fan and someone who has eagerly followed every twist and turn in the MCU, I can hardly contain my excitement about the recent rumors swirling around Wanda Maximoff’s potential return. Ever since her supposed demise in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, I’ve been on pins and needles, praying for a Scarlet Witch comeback. The mere possibility of Elizabeth Olsen reprising her role is enough to send my heart racing!

Today’s a thrilling day for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans! Not only did it get confirmed that James Spader will reprise his role as Ultron in Disney+’s upcoming Vision series, which is his first appearance since Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), but there are whispers about Elizabeth Olsen potentially playing Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch. Since her supposed demise in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans have been on the lookout for her next appearance. Although a Scarlet Witch standalone movie has long been desired, just the rumors of her comeback are generating excitement. As soon as Deadline dropped the report about Olsen possibly being part of the Vision series, “Scarlet Witch” became a trending topic on social media.

1. Maximoffgifs responded to the rumors, saying, “Don’t get my hopes up… I can’t handle it.”

Fun fact: The intriguing news I’ve been following all aligned on August 23rd, which happens to be the special date that Wanda and Vision picked for their anniversary in the first episode of WandaVision. A coincidence? Perhaps! But it definitely adds fuel to my speculative fires.

Although there hasn’t been any official confirmation yet, speculation is rife that Elizabeth Olsen might reappear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), potentially in Disney+’s forthcoming spin-off of WandaVision, titled Agatha All Along. It was previously disclosed that nine cast members from WandaVision would be back for the upcoming series. Among these, Kathryn Hahn will star in the lead role, while Emma Caulfield, Debra Jo Rupp, David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes will also appear. Newcomers to the MCU include Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Eric Andre, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasil, and Patti LuPone.

As a gamer, I can’t help but feel a thrill of excitement after Olsen hinted at her comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, contradicting her earlier statements about not being part of the latest Disney+ series.

In a chat with Deadline at SXSW, Olsen joked as she admitted her uncertainty on how to respond to these questions, but hinted that she might return to the MCU, possibly revisiting Wanda in Westview.

Stay tuned for more updates about the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
