As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing virtual worlds, I must admit that the upcoming End of Summer event in Disney Dreamlight Valley has piqued my interest. The prospect of gathering marshmallows and crafting s’mores and folding chairs is an enticing proposition for any discerning player.
As autumn approaches, it’s bittersweet to bid farewell to summer, but fret not! In the enchanting world of Disney Dreamlight Valley, this transition signifies the start of something new and exciting – an End of Summer event! This event commences on September 4th and concludes on the 26th. During these two weeks, adventurous players will stumble upon vibrant marshmallows sprouting throughout the valley. You’ll find pink marshmallows on three bushes in the Valley Plaza, while blue marshmallows can be foraged across the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust. Once gathered, these colorful treats can be employed to concoct a couple of fresh recipes!
A trailer for the End of Summer event can be found below.
The trailer suggests that the game features two options: making s’mores and toasting marshmallows. What’s intriguing is that players can utilize these marshmallows to create various items such as foldable chairs and a Bonfire Pit. As stated on the game’s official site, the Bonfire Pit, once positioned, allows you to take pictures with your nearby villagers. This feature seems like a fun touch, particularly appealing to players who enjoy sharing photos on social media or via the DreamSnaps tool. Lastly, during this in-game event, there will be new tasks to accomplish that will reward unique avatar items upon completion.
In summary, this update for Disney Dreamlight Valley seems quite enjoyable! The game has recently introduced a new Star Path, concluded its paid DLC’s final act, and there’s plenty of content to keep players engaged until October’s content update. Although Gameloft mentioned that October’s update will be relatively small, it will introduce Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King. Later in 2024, we can expect the arrival of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, but a release date for this update has yet to be announced, with December being a likely possibility, especially around the holiday season.
