Injured WWE Star Appears To Be Healed Ahead of Bash in Berlin

As an avid WWE fan with over two decades of wrestling fandom under my belt, I must say the current storylines are as captivating and unpredictable as ever! The Bloodline’s dominance continues to be a highlight, but Tama Tonga’s partner, Tonga Loa (Jacob Fatu), has unfortunately been sidelined due to an injury. It’ll be intriguing to see how this affects the narrative moving forward, especially with the upcoming WWE Bash in Berlin event.

Over the weekend of WWE SummerSlam, Jacob Fatu teamed up with his Bloodline comrade Tama Tonga against DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa), who were the current WWE Tag Team Champions at that time. Despite being a formidable pair, they managed to claim the titles for the very first time in their WWE career. However, Fatu seemed to have hurt his foot during the match, which has now led to him being sidelined. As per the Free Birds rule, Tonga Loa is temporarily holding on to the title.

Despite being stationary on foot, Fatu made an appearance on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, causing significant harm to Roman Reigns, the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and Bloodline’s head. Last week, he was compelled to surrender his title, as per Solo Sikoa’s demand. This week, WWE is set for Berlin, Germany, for WWE Bash in Berlin, where Gunther will protect the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton. Moreover, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will clash again in their ongoing rivalry, with a stipulation that both are accustomed to when they face off in the ring.

Prior to that event, WWE has several live shows scheduled within the nation itself. Yesterday, Fatu joined his Bloodline group in Oberhausen, Germany. The official WWE Deutschland Instagram account shared a video of their entrance, revealing that Fatu is now walking without boots. Although he didn’t participate in the match, he was dressed for action, so it will be intriguing to see if he gets cleared to compete this weekend and what part he might play.

In a three-way contest against A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) along with DIY, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa successfully defended their titles, remaining champions. So far, The Bloodline has not interfered in the Premium Live Event, although they are a significant presence on WWE’s SmackDown each week. However, Fatu’s injury appears to have disrupted some of the initial storyline developments.

Given that there are already 5 matches scheduled, it wouldn’t be unexpected if WWE decides to include an additional match on SmackDown to balance out the lineup. Besides the previously mentioned bouts, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will again contend for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, which are currently owned by Unholy Union. These supernatural competitors might have a few surprises in store, but the previous champions could very well be ready with some of their own countermeasures.

Moreover, Cody Rhodes is set to keep his Undisputed WWE Title against his ally, Kevin Owens. There seems to be a possibility that KO might betray Rhodes, hints of which have been subtly shown on TV. Lastly, Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio will confront Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest, also known as the Terror Twins. The Judgment Day group thwarted their title wins at SummerSlam, but now Ripley and Priest are seeking revenge.
