As I delve into the lives of these remarkable individuals, I find myself in awe of their humble beginnings and the extraordinary journeys they have embarked upon. Jenni, the baby of the family, now a teenager with a heart as vast as her age. She’s the favorite among the nieces and nephews, carrying them around like a caring mother hen. Her love for animals is evident in her diligent care for her pets, and her recent success in raising a litter of bunnies speaks volumes about her nurturing spirit.
Let’s continue to scroll through all the pictures posted from Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann’s wedding day. This collection also includes the latest ones shared by her sister, Jinger Duggar (also known as Jinger Vuolo). On Instagram last September 1st, she wrote, “We celebrated the lovely couple @janamduggar & @stephenwissmann, spent wonderful moments with family and friends, and indulged in lots of tasty food. Until we meet again in Arkansas!”
Some unique photos from social media included a few unseen images, such as a selfie of Jinger grinning next to Jana, with the bride wearing an ivory off-the-shoulder wedding gown. There was also a picture showing Jana and Stephen standing alongside Jinger (Jeremy Vuolo’s wife), Jeremy, and what appear to be their daughters Felicity Vuolo (age 6) and Evangeline Vuolo (age 3). Their faces were hidden behind heart emojis to preserve their privacy.
In her publication, Jinger additionally posted a number of images featuring herself alongside the wedding entourage, as well as several family members such as mom Michelle Duggar, brothers James Duggar and Joseph Duggar, and sisters Jennifer Duggar, Josie Duggar, and Jill Dillard.
But if you were wondering why Jill wasn’t a bridesmaid, well, she doesn’t have a firm answer.
She replied on August 20th, “To be honest, I’m not certain about that, but ultimately, it’s the bride who should make the choice.”
But if you were wondering why Jill wasn’t a bridesmaid, well, she doesn’t have a firm answer.
She replied, “To be honest, I’m not sure, but ultimately, the choice should belong to the bride.”
Indeed, the former star of “19 Kids and Counting” expressed her delight for the newly-married couple. In her own words, she stated, “She’s now a married woman!” Wishing her sister, Jana Duggars, and her husband Stephen Wissmann, a hearty congratulations on their recent wedding ceremony held last week.
Although Jana has mostly kept her relationship with Stephen under wraps – sharing with People they first met long ago but didn’t begin dating or get engaged until this year – she’s been offering fans peeks into their shared life, such as a vintage video of her surprising him at work in Nebraska and showcasing their newly shared abode.
It won’t be long until there’s another wedding in the Duggar family, as Jason Duggar recently popped the question to his girlfriend Maddie Grace. In August, Maddie shared her joy on social media about their engagement, expressing that she couldn’t be more thrilled.

19 children’s parents, along with the grandparents of more than three dozen kids, initially fell in love while they were still in high school together.
Michelle shared that she felt “rescued” at the age of 15. One evening, Jim Bob was conducting house visits for his Baptist church when he was informed by a friend that a schoolgirl who had recently been converted and was also a cheerleader resided in the Ruark household. So, he visited their home.
Michelle was invited to attend Sunday school at a church by Jim Bob, and he expressed hope that they could serve as each other’s spiritual guides. However, it seems their initial encounter didn’t leave a strong impression on Michelle. A year later, she applied for a job at the frozen yogurt shop run by Jim Bob’s parents. In a blog post written in 2017 for Jim Bob’s birthday and their 33rd wedding anniversary, Michelle recalled that first encounter: “You stood behind the counter where I was working, introduced yourself, and asked me out to your junior-senior banquet!” She added that she didn’t remember much about the conversation, except that Jim Bob eventually asked her to the event.
At Shiloh Christian, they both went to a dinner together, but it wasn’t until later when they spent hours discussing the Bible at her family’s home that she felt their connection deepen. As Michelle puts it, “It was then that our hearts became one.” They completed high school in May 1984 and got married in July, with Michelle being 17 and Jim Bob being 19 years old.
The couple dedicated themselves to God and each other for the long run.
Jim Bob previously held the position of state legislator, representing Arkansas’s sixth district in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. During his tenure, he served as vice chair of the House Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. He made an unsuccessful attempt to secure a seat in the U.S. Senate in 2002, and also failed to win the Republican nomination for Arkansas State Senate District 35 in 2006.
19 Kids and Counting, which debuted as 17 Kids and Counting in 2008, has been supported and criticized by its stars, who are both realtors and active in conservative causes. A robocall Michelle made in 2014, urging people to vote against an anti-discrimination ordinance in Fayetteville, sparked a Change.org petition asking TLC to cancel the show due to her comments about transgender individuals using facilities that make them feel safe and comfortable.
The city council approved the ordinance.
The firstborn Duggar family member, Josh, made his entrance on March 3, 1988. Likewise, he followed suit and became an advocate for conservative values, often seen promoting the Family Research Council.
In 2015, records from his police past emerged, detailing accusations against him for molesting multiple girls, including his sisters Jessa and Jill, when he was a teenager. Despite these allegations, Jessa stood up for her brother in an interview with Fox News, asserting that the harsh labels being used against Josh were “exaggerated and false; people get upset at me for saying this, but I can say it because I was one of the victims.”
In this rephrased version, the text maintains its original meaning while using simpler, more natural language:
In a federal indictment filed in April 2021, Josh was charged with a count apiece of receipt and possession of child pornography. He pleaded not guilty on both counts. In 2022, Josh was found guilty on both counts, and sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison.
Not long after the birth of Josh, Michelle became pregnant once more, however, she experienced a miscarriage. Even as they mourned this loss and sought divine guidance, they learned that twins were expected.
In my own words, I find it truly remarkable and a double blessing, as it feels like divine guidance nurturing our spirits. We’re constantly learning and growing in this journey. It’s quite extraordinary because, despite breastfeeding my babies, I find myself pregnant just eight months later. It’s yet another testament to the unique ways God chooses to work within our specific circumstances.
John-David and his sister Jana were born on Jan. 12, 1990.
Following a lengthy period of mutual acquaintance, spanning several years, John-David and Abbie eventually met at an event held in Oklahoma, where Abbie resides. After a brief engagement, they tied the knot on November 3, 2018. Their family expanded with the birth of their daughter Grace Annette Duggar on January 7, 2020, and their son Charlie Duggar in September 2022.
On my 30th birthday in January 2020, my twin brother John-David shared a heartfelt message with me, “Ever since we were young, people have asked us if we experience that ‘twin connection’ – you know, the sense of feeling what the other is feeling or knowing what the other is thinking…Well, John, I’ve always denied it before, but now I can truthfully admit that when our sister Gracie was born, I felt every ounce of joy you did. So, perhaps there really is something to this twin bond after all!”
Jana went on to say, “It’s such a delight to see you and Abbie in your roles as parents! You two are naturally gifted at it! The very traits that make you an exceptional sibling will undoubtedly make you an outstanding father.”
Meanwhile, Jana observed as 11 out of her 18 siblings tied the knot before she met Stephen Wissmann – a man whose sister Hannah is wedded to Jeremiah, a previous TLC star’s brother. She considers this entire sequence of events as a part of God’s design.
Back in August 2024, just before walking down the aisle, I, with an unwavering faith, confessed to People magazine that my path hasn’t always been crystal clear, but I trust that God has the perfect plan for us all. For me, delaying marriage was part of that grand design. Life would be monotonous if we were all identical in our journeys, wouldn’t it? Each of our stories is uniquely woven, and I can hardly wait to see how mine unfolds further.
Born on May 17, 1991, I find myself echoing my parents’ love story in a remarkable way. On a chilly Christmas Eve of 2011, I was introduced to Derick, who hailed from a location approximately 45 minutes away. He dropped by our residence during his church group’s caroling excursion that fateful day.
Jim Bob served as a matchmaker, connecting Jill and Derick, who developed a strong bond through emails and video calls. In November of the same year, they both visited Derick in Nepal, deepening their connection even further. Their relationship blossomed, leading to Derick proposing to Jill in February 2014. They got married on June 21, 2014, and have since become parents to three sons—Israel (born April 6, 2015), Samuel (born July 8, 2017), and Frederick (born July 7, 2022).
In the month of April 2024, Jill disclosed that they had experienced a miscarriage during their anticipation of their first daughter with Derick.
The duo featured on the TV shows “19 Kids and Counting” and subsequently “Counting On“. Later, Derick was dismissed from the program in 2017 following comments he made that were offensive towards his fellow TLC reality star, Jazzy Jennings, which expressed intolerance towards certain groups.
In the Amazon Prime Video documentary titled “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets“, which debuted in June 2023, Jill and Derick pondered over the debates and spiritual convictions connected to her family, as depicted in the series.
Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child was born Nov. 4, 1992.
Jessa became acquainted with Ben through their church community, and he started pursuing her romantically in 2013 – an old-school method of courtship that was fresh and surprising for many viewers. Before they got engaged, the couple rarely discussed their relationships openly. To clarify this concept to People magazine, Jim Bob explained, “Courting involves getting to know each other in a group setting, spending time together as both families participate, and the couple establishing shared goals to determine if they’re destined for marriage. Unlike dating, where a couple often spends private time together which could potentially lead to a more intimate relationship.”
In August 2014, Ben proposed to Jessa, and they sealed their engagement by holding hands for the first time. They got married on November 1, 2014. When Jessa was pregnant with their first child, the show “19 Kids and Counting” was canceled, and TLC aired a special about sexual abuse, which included Jill and Jessa to educate viewers further on the topic. That winter, Jill and Jessa became the stars of their own show, titled “Jill and Jessa: Counting On.” Later, this show evolved into “Counting On,” featuring other Duggar siblings as well.
Jessa and Ben had their first son Spurgeon on November 5, 2015, followed by Henry on February 6, 2017, Ivy Jane on May 28, 2019, and Fern in July 2021. Unfortunately, Jessa shared that she experienced a miscarriage during the holiday season of 2022. However, she went on to give birth to her fifth child, George, in December 2023.
The sixth Duggar child was born Dec. 21, 1993.
Jinger and Jeremy became acquainted while serving in community work in Laredo, Texas, and began dating in 2016. They tied the knot on November 5, 2016 (also the day Spurgeon, Jinger’s nephew, was born—a rather tricky coincidence when you’re part of a family with 19 members), which led to speculation about a possible pregnancy.
In a year, we expect to be firmly established, continuing our ministry in Laredo, and merely striving to serve the Lord wherever we are able. This is what Jinger shared in a June 2017 episode of Counting On.
On July 19, 2018, their beloved daughter, Felicity, came into the world. It was in May of that same year when they disclosed that Jinger was expecting another child—unfortunately, she had experienced a miscarriage the previous autumn. Then, in November 2020, they joyfully welcomed Evangeline Jo into their family.
Back on January 20, 1995, I was brought into this world with a spark that ignited my passion for the extraordinary. Fast forward to 2017, as if fate had orchestrated a romantic masterpiece, I found myself standing at Joy-Anna’s wedding, heart pounding with anticipation. You see, I had met Kendra through our shared faith in church just a few short months prior, and I knew that this was the beginning of something truly special. After only a few months of courting, I seized the magical moment at her side to ask for her hand in marriage, an offer she graciously accepted.
“Joseph admitted he felt quite anxious leading up to it, yet he wasn’t worried she would refuse, given she had expressed, ‘I’m just waiting for you!'” Joseph shared with People following the proposal. Kendra added, “I’m overjoyed and absolutely stunned. There are so many things I want to express, but all I can say is shocked.”
Since then, I’ve been blessed with not one, not two, but five little miracles! My first-born son, Garrett, arrived in June 2018, followed by my darling daughters Addison and Brooklyn, born just a few months apart in November 2019 and February 2019 respectively. And most recently, my precious son Justus joined our family in May 2023. Each of them brings a unique sparkle to my life!
Eighth in line, Josiah was born on Aug. 28, 1996.
A few months into their public relationship, the duo declared their engagement in March 2018. He shared that the location where he popped the question to Lauren was the very same spot where her parents got engaged. This site holds significant family history, making it a particularly meaningful place for Lauren.
Michelle, Lauren’s future mother-in-law, expressed her affection in a blog post video, saying, “Lauren is truly special to us, like a priceless gem.” Jessa and Ben also extended their congratulations, along with chocolate treats shaped as X’s and O’s. As if hinting at something, she held up the enticing reward, saying, “I think you two might want to save your first kiss for the wedding day, but if you visit us here, we’ll share this sweet gift instead.”
In the summer of 2015, a romantic relationship with Marjorie Jackson came to an end. Looking back, Josiah said in an interview with People magazine in March 2016, “We enjoyed our time together, but we were both trying to listen to God’s guidance on everything. Marjorie didn’t feel it was the appropriate time, so we took a break for a while.”
As a lifestyle expert, I am thrilled to share that on June 30, 2018, my partner and I celebrated our perfect wedding day, an event we shared with People magazine. Our family expanded on November 8, 2019, with the arrival of our “miracle baby,” Bella Milagro. After a challenging miscarriage in October 2018, the name “Bella” signifies the miracle that she is to us. In 2022, we welcomed another precious bundle of joy, Daisy, and in May 2023, our little boy, Ezra, completed our beautiful family.
The ninth Duggar sibling was born Oct. 28, 1997.
She knew Austin for 15 years as a friend before he started courting her—after which they didn’t waste any time. He proposed in February 2017 and they married on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Ark. (the wedding where Joseph proposed to Kendra!). They welcomed son Gideon Martin Forsyth on Feb. 23, 2018.
In 2019, Joy-Anna suffered a pregnancy loss with a baby girl at 20 weeks along.
On Aug. 21, 2020, the couple welcomed daughter Evelyn Mae Forsyth.
The couple’s third child, son Gunner James Forsyth, was born on May 17, 2023.
Jim Bob and Michelle’s second set of twins were born on Dec. 30, 1998.
It was reported in February 2017 that Jed was interning at his dad’s old stomping grounds at the state capitol, working for the Arkansas House of Representative—and at 21 he’s on the ballot running for State Representative for District 89, committed to “putting Springdale’s conservative values first.” He married Katey Nakatsu after one year of courting in April 2021. They are parents to son Truett, born May 2022, and daughter Nora Kate, born June 2023.
Jeremiah, who is a qualified flight instructor, is wedded to Hannah Wissmann, and together they are the proud parents of two children: Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, born in February 2024.
Duggar child No. 12 was born on April 21, 2000.
In January 2017, as reported by the Daily Mail, Jim Bob assisted Jase in purchasing a $33,000 fixer-upper located in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, approximately 30 minutes from the Duggar family residence. Notably, he subsequently established his own construction company. Despite this new endeavor, he found time to aid Jed with his campaign.
He went Instagram official with girlfriend Maddie Grace in May 2024 and the two got engaged in August 2024.
Charmed No. 13, James arrived on July 7, 2001.
On his 19th birthday in 2019, his mom expressed that he is a “cool uncle” and all the young lads in the neighborhood admire him and aspire to emulate him. James has the knack of accomplishing nearly anything he conceives. As a child, we often discovered James tinkering with various household appliances. He’s always been one to disassemble, understand, reassemble, and occasionally make some unique changes!
This year, James dedicated himself to earning his Commercial Driver’s License, and now he’s a seasoned pro when it comes to handling large trucks and heavy equipment! We’re excited to witness what lies ahead for him, guided by the plans of the future.
No. 14 arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.
And from the department of growing up so fast…
In September 2020, Justin made their relationship with Claire known to the public. They became engaged in November of the same year, and on February 26, 2021, they tied the knot.
Here with his big sister Jill, Jim Bob and Michelle’s 15th child was born May 23, 2004.
On his sixteenth birthday, Jackson’s mother, Michelle, commended his wit and mentioned that she was well aware of his eagerness to obtain a driver’s license.
Duggar baby No. 16 was born Oct. 11, 2005.
Michelle expressed on Johannah’s 15th birthday in 2020 that this girl is lively and sociable, with a knack for forming new friendships. Her younger sisters hold her in high regard, viewing her as the epitome of admiration, and Michelle couldn’t be more thankful to God for making her her mother!
On August 2, 2007, No. 17 made its appearance. At that time, “17 Kids and Counting” was a new show, with Jenni being the youngest member of the family.
Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.
Michelle wrote, “Jennifer is reliable, devoted… and a joy to be around when her granddaughter turned thirteen. She’s adored by the nieces, nephews, who often cling to her because they don’t want her to let go! Moreover, Jennifer has a deep affection for animals and consistently takes good care of her pets daily. Notably, she recently assisted in rearing seven baby bunnies!”
Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.
In 2019, Jordyn-Grace was described by her mom as an outgoing young lady who seems to instantly connect with everyone she meets. Her laughter is often one of the highlights of our days.
19 Luckily, numbered as Lucky No. 19, currently cradles his niece Meredith. Born on December 10, 2009, she came into the world three months early and weighed just a pound and six ounces. Despite this early start, Josie had to remain in the neonatal intensive care unit for a period of six months. Fortunately, she’s thriving well now.
