In a recent PC Gamer interview, design director Virgil Watkins discussed the reaction to their game’s playtest. He noted that many players immediately wanted the game cancelled, or expected it to be shortly after the test. However, Watkins explained that the game was simply not finished yet. While pleased players thought the game ran smoothly, he emphasized there was still significant optimization and feature development needed, along with several bugs to fix – thankfully, most weren’t prominently visible in playtest footage. They had a lot of work left to do.
