I was so excited to finally see Cursed on Paramount+! It came out in 2005 and it’s cool because it brought Wes Craven back together with Kevin Williamson, the writer of Scream. The movie stars Christina Ricci and Jesse Eisenberg as siblings who get attacked by a werewolf in LA. They have to figure out who—or what—did it before they turn into a werewolf! Honestly, it’s a bit of a hidden gem in Craven’s work, but it’s mostly known for how rough the making of it was—lots of reshoots, the studio meddling, and they even had to change it to get a PG-13 rating. It started streaming on March 1st, and I’m really enjoying it!

The new monsters in Stranger Things look genuinely scary. The initial trailer showed four different monster designs, and recent action figures suggest there could be even more. However, despite all these variations, it seems like they might all be part of one larger creature. If so, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 isn’t about fighting multiple monsters – the kids are facing a single, complex enemy.
