As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that the announcement of the PS5 Pro has sent a wave of excitement coursing through me. My first gaming console was the original PlayStation, and I’ve been hooked ever since. The prospect of a mid-gen upgrade, offering enhanced graphics, faster performance, and smoother gameplay, is truly enticing.
Sony has formally revealed the PS5 Pro, scheduled to debut in November at a price of $699.99. Boasting a 45% faster GPU, enhanced ray tracing, and the addition of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, games optimized for the system will deliver numerous improvements. It appears that players will have multiple choices to jump into right from the first day.
According to a practical preview released by CNET, Sony has disclosed that approximately 40-50 games will be PS5 Pro Enhanced at the console’s launch in November. Some of these titles have already been confirmed, such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, and others.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled about the improvements we’re making to maximize our games’ performance at 4K and 60 FPS. But that’s not all! We’re also ramping up the details in the background, adding stunning volumetric lighting and effects, and offering modes for both 120 FPS or even 8K for select titles. For instance, the highly anticipated Gran Turismo 7 will offer an 8K mode, along with a 4K one that showcases enhanced ray tracing effects.
The PS5 Pro is set to launch on November 7. For more details on the console, head on over here.
