Despite their success, today’s superhero movies seem to have missed an important point from older classics. While films like Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy are entertaining, they don’t quite have the lasting appeal of something like the 1978 Superman movie. Iron Man really changed the direction of the genre, and it hasn’t really gone back to focusing on what made the earlier films so special.

2025 brought some great new books for Dungeons & Dragons, especially if you enjoyed Baldur’s Gate 3. While some releases, like Heroes of the Borderlands and Welcome to the Hellfire Club, include adventures, this list focuses on the core sourcebooks. I’ve put together a ranking of the new materials for the 5th edition of D&D released this year, from the least to most important, to help you decide what to buy next.

Okay, so I still think about Metal Gear Ac!d sometimes – it was such a weird but cool entry in the series. It was on the PSP, which was awesome because I could play Metal Gear anywhere. But man, it was different. It wasn’t just a handheld version of the usual games, it really shook things up with the story, how the world worked, and especially how you actually played. It changed a lot of what made Metal Gear feel like Metal Gear, but somehow, it still felt true to the spirit of the series. It was a bold move, and I kinda loved it.

Originally launched as a short series expected to last about six months and include only three volumes, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is now reaching its climax. The manga is roughly halfway through its story, and Chapter 15, featured on the cover of Weekly Shonen Jump on Manga Plus, signals the start of the final, decisive battle. After focusing on character development and introductions, the story is now entering a more intense phase, with a major conflict that will determine the fate of Japan.
