Taylor Swift’s longtime collaborator posted on X (previously Twitter) on Sept. 12, admitting directly that he indeed wore earplugs the other night. They were from the ‘hearos’ brand and he’s embarrassed to confess that he’s been using them for quite some time, even buying them in large quantities.

40-year-old Antonoff jokingly addressed those who criticized him online for his behavior in a viral moment caught on camera. He humorously commented that he always wears earplugs on planes and before sleeping, then apologized and thanked those who reported the story. Although it was an awkward situation for him and his family, he believed it was crucial to bring the issue into light.

At the yearly award ceremony, which was emceed by Megan Thee Stallion, Antonoff and his spouse Margaret Qualley found themselves sitting beside Taylor Swift. Her dance routines frequently appeared in close-ups of the audience’s reactions during the show.
