Connecting Trails is an essential part of the gameplay experience, and I’m delighted to share with you all that it’s as straightforward as clicking on black dots like we’re playing a digital game of hopscotch!
In your expedition through the chilly Frostland within Frostpunk 2, you’ll stumble upon Outposts and notable spots brimming with essential resources. To gather these precious resources, you must link the point of interest either to your city or another settlement via a Trail or Skyway. This guide will walk you through all the necessary steps for connecting trails in the game!
How To Connect Trails
To begin creating a trail, first click on the black spots visible in your vicinity. These black spots serve as waypoints or landmarks that will guide your journey. Continue clicking on these spots until you arrive at one of the waypoints. Once all the dots have been connected, you’ll be able to press the checkmark to finish drawing the path.
If it’s your initial journey, you’ll find a rest stop close to your town with three interconnected points. Just navigate through these connections, complete the task, and hit the checkmark to confirm your progress.
Remember, you’ll be needing some Prefabs, Currency, and your Workers (let’s call them Frost guys for now) to finish the process. However, these are just short-term expenses. Once finished, the path will become permanent, enabling you to collect the items scattered on the trail indefinitely!
Don’t Forget About Harvesting Areas!
Remember, while Outposts are crucial for a steady supply of resources, don’t overlook the value of Harvesting Areas. These locations allow you to extract resources without the need for a Trail or Skyway, making them a worthwhile investment for your teams!
