As a connoisseur of acting talent, I must say that these gentlemen, from Edward Norton to Adam Scott, have truly graced our screens with their diverse and captivating performances. Each has embarked on a unique journey, from noir dramas to comedy gold, and even a return to the beloved Kevin Smith universe.

Just as a knowledgeable mentor once expressed, friendship is a genuine treasure. It’s bestowed without any conditions or demands, and true companionship doesn’t require thankfulness.

Indeed, those insightful lines were spoken by Mr. Feeny, the character portrayed by William Daniels in the TV series ‘Boy Meets World‘. Over time, he has had the chance to meet up again with his on-screen pupils, specifically Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle. In fact, as recently as June this year, Daniels shared a photo on Instagram featuring himself, the trio, and his wife Bonnie Bartlett Daniels, captioning it “A little reunion with my favorite students!!”.

In a classic gesture of a dedicated student, the threesome – the hosts of the rewatch podcast “_Pod Meets World_” – extended an invitation to one of their past co-stars to share memories with them during the July 2022 episode.

As a die-hard fan, let me tell you, I was always the serious one compared to your youthful exuberance. Often, I’d find myself tucked away in my dressing room while you all were laughing and joking around before the cameras started rolling. But then, just like magic, they’d call out for me, “Mr. Daniels, we’re ready for you,” and off I’d go to join the action.

But not without a hint of FOMO. “You guys were having a ball,” he continued. “And I’d taken it very seriously. Frankly, I wish I were one of you.”

Besides them, it wasn’t just the former cast members of the series who gathered for a mini reunion. Ben Savage, too, participated in fan gatherings with his co-stars. However, as Fishel revealed to Variety in 2023, Savage “ghosted us” and they, Friedle, and Strong hadn’t been in touch with him for years. He has reminisced about some fond memories from Boy Meets World, like the final scene of the series in 2000 where Daniels says “class is dismissed.

In 2021, Savage shared with Us Weekly that filming a particular scene was challenging because it symbolized someone shutting a door on our shared childhood memories. The scene carried a heavy significance and was deeply emotional for everyone involved. Having invested seven years into the series, starting at age 11, when he heard “Class dismissed,” Savage knew it marked a significant milestone. He was about to embark on college life at Stanford soon after that day, which further underscored the end of our youthful days. Regardless, the scene remained emotionally impactful for us and held great meaning.

Since that very first school year ended 31 years ago, the students (or “stars”) have moved on to various significant achievements. To celebrate the show’s anniversary, let’s take a look at where the cast members are now.

Savage played Cory Matthews on Boy Meets World, which anchored ABC’s TGIF lineup from 1993 to 2000.

After completing his political science degree from Stanford in the year 2004, he made appearances on television shows like “Party of Five” and “Chuck,” as well as some independent films. Later, he teamed up with TV sweetheart Danielle Fishel once more to reprise their roles in the 2014 Disney Channel spin-off series “Girl Meets World.

Following the conclusion of that series in 2017, Savage (who is the older brother of Fred Savage, star of “The Wonder Years”) has been featured on shows such as “The Leftovers”, “Speechless”, “Criminal Minds” (as a young Jason Gideon), and “Homeland” (portraying young Saul, marking his second role playing a character younger than the one portrayed by Mandy Patinkin). He has not yet made an appearance on his co-stars’ “Pod Meets World” podcast. However, he and Fishel reconnected in 2021 for a romantic comedy spoof promoting Panera Bread as an ideal date spot.

For several years, his Instagram hinted at a relationship of wedding-worthy depth with an unidentified partner. However, he preferred to keep her identity discreet. That changed when he proposed and officially announced in March 2023 that he had married his longtime sweetheart, Tessa Angermeier.

Despite failing to secure a spot on the West Hollywood City Council in 2022, Savage has picked himself up and declared his intention to run for a seat in Congress in 2024.

From portraying Topanga Lawrence (and later Matthews) on “Boy Meets World” and its spin-off “Girls Meets World”, Fishel, who shared her first kiss on screen with Ben Savage, was largely visible on television. This included stints as a correspondent on “The Tyra Banks Show” and hosting “The Dish” on the Style Network. Additionally, she returned to education at the age of 27 and graduated with a degree in 2012.

She initially encountered her first husband, Tim Belusko, at school, and they stayed married for a span of two years before choosing to part ways amicably in the year 2016. Later on in 2018, she tied the knot with Drop the Mic host, Jensen Karp. On this special occasion, her former co-stars Savage (who sent his warm congratulations to his beloved TV spouse) and Will Friedle were present at the ceremony.

In June 2019, Danielle Fishel and her partner welcomed their son Adler into the world, followed by the arrival of their second son Keaton in August 2021. This stylish actress further expanded her ventures with the creation of a hair care line named Be Free by Danielle Fishel. After directing multiple episodes of ‘Girl Meets World’, she continued to work behind the camera, overseeing episodes for Disney Channel’s ‘Sydney to the Max’, ‘Raven’s Home’, and both versions of ‘Lopez vs. Lopez’.

Additionally, she collaborates as a co-host on the podcast titled “Pod Meets World,” alongside Friedle and Rider Strong. In an August 2024 episode, Fishel disclosed that she was diagnosed with DCIS, which is essentially stage zero breast cancer.

She assured everyone, “I’ll be alright. I’m scheduled for a surgery to get rid of it. Afterwards, I’ll need some additional care.

Following his role as Shawn Hunter on “Boy Meets World,” Strong gained significant attention, particularly for his parts in Eli Roth’s 2002 horror sleeper hit “Cabin Fever” and its 2009 sequel. He was also a main character in the brief-running sitcom “Pepper Dennis” and provided the voice for Brick Flagg in the animated series “Kim Possible.” Later, he reprised his role as Shawn in seven episodes of “Girl Meets World.

Apart from acting, Strong has also ventured behind the scenes, penning, directing, and producing several shorts and the 2017 TV movie “Micah the Jerk” (originally intended for his brother Shiloh Strong, who was initially considered for the role of Eric Matthews). His most recent directorial work, “Typhoon—We’re In It,” was recognized as the Best Music Video at the Vortex Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror Film Festival in October 2022.

In 2013, Strong married Alexandra Barreto and their son, Indigo, was born in December 2014.

In a recent appearance on “Girl Meets World,” Friedle reprised his role as Eric Matthews, but during this interval, his voice has gained widespread recognition in various animated series such as “Kim Possible,” “Teen Titans Go!,” “DC Super Hero Girls,” Disney XD’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” (as Star Lord Peter Quill), and “The Legend of Vox Machina.

Prior to standing up as best man at Fishel and Karp’s wedding, I had the honor of doing the same for “Step by Step” star Jason Marsden in 2004. It was a highlight of TGIF cross-over programming at its peak. More recently, in December 2019, I proudly wore a T-shirt adorned with Topanga’s face – a stylish gesture made possible by my future podcast partner’s hair care line.

Friedle married Susan Martens in 2016.

Daniel, who has won two Emmys for his role in St. Elsewhere and was also a cast member of the musical 1776, as well as providing the voice of K.I.T.T., David Hasselhoff’s car on Knight Rider, gained a new set of admirers by playing Mr. Feeny on Boy Meets World.

Following his tenure as president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1999 to 2001, Daniels went on to make guest appearances in shows such as Scrubs, Boston Legal, The Closer, and had a multi-episode role on Grey’s Anatomy in 2012. At the age of 97, Daniels’ last physical acting work was reprising the role of Mr. Feeny on Girl Meets World. He also continues to make appearances at fan conventions and lent his voice to K.I.T.T. for the 2020 film Superintelligence.

According to Looper, Strong stated at Wizard World Comic Con that Minkus’ character was removed from Boy Meets World due to Steve Urkel’s popularity on Family Matters. The creators of Boy Meets World felt it was unnecessary to further emphasize the comedic nerdiness they already had represented.

Starting as the young character Chuckie Lee on the TV show The Torkelsons, Norris later graduated from Wake Forest and took on the role of Marvin “Mouth” McFadden in the long-running drama One Tree Hill on The CW. He also reprised his role as Minkus for a few episodes of Girl Meets World. Since then, he has been featured in several episodes of The Walking Dead and worked under the direction of David Fincher in Zodiac and Gone Girl. Additionally, Norris appeared in the 2020 WWII action drama Greyhound alongside Tom Hanks.

He’s been married to wife Andrea since 2011.

Ever since his debut as Shawn’s older half-brother Jack Hunter in “Mrs. Doubtfire,” the actor has also appeared on the sitcom “Brotherly Love” alongside his real-life siblings Andrew and Joey Lawrence. On May 23, 2019, Lawrence tied the knot with professional dancer Cheryl Burke from “Dancing With the Stars”, a relationship that started 13 years prior when she was partnered with his brother Joey on the show. However, their marriage ended in 2022. Currently, Lawrence is in a relationship with the singer Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, a member of TLC.

McGee has appeared in several TV movies and short-lived TV series, and she played Shawn’s girlfriend Angela in an episode of Girl Meets World. Notably, this role came about even though the circumstances leading to her departure from Boy Meets World were not optimal.

In “Pod Meets World” of 2022, McGee disclosed to Fishel, Strong, and Friedle that they were informed their showrunner had been asked not to include her in the 2000 series finale, which led to Angela’s sudden departure for Europe while the others were wrapping up storylines.

According to Friedel, it’s as if the disputes in their past never occurred, and McGee expressed remorse for any strife between them, suggesting they might have collaborated better on the show. Fishel concurred, expressing a wish that they could have supported each other more during the show’s duration.

Previously wedded to Courtland Davis, McGee has returned to the circle of fan conventions and rejoined the mentioned trio for Daniels’ 96th birthday on March 31, 2023. Besides being a performer and visual artist, she is also the mother of Ramia, Langston, and Ezra.

2024 saw McGee announcing her pregnancy with her fourth child at the age of 54. However, later in the same year, she disclosed that she had experienced a miscarriage.

McGee admitted in an episode of The Tamron Hall Show last September that he had a miscarriage. It wasn’t something we were expecting, as it occurred towards the end of the first trimester. Unfortunately, we don’t have a clear explanation for why this happened.

Following her role as Rachel McGuire in “Boy Meets World”, Ward then appeared alongside Marlon and Shawn Wayans in the 2004 comedy “White Chicks”. However, she later achieved success in a different sphere, winning three AVNs after debuting in adult films with the 2019 release “Drive”.

She shared with The Daily Beast in April 2021 that she discovered her affection for delivering captivating performances, particularly of a sensual nature. It feels akin to dancing or skating as a pair, she explained, where you’re creating a beautiful artistic work, and she finds immense pleasure in it.

Additionally, this strategy has proven successful for her, given that she is also a 2023 AVN Best Actress awardee and the writer of the memoir titled “Rated X”.

She’s been married to Terry Baxter since 2006, and as she shared with In Touch Weekly in January 2020, not only is he her real estate agent husband, but he’s also a talented photographer. He has captured photos of her throughout their journey together.

Initially, from 1993 to 1995, Nicksay portrayed Cory and Eric’s younger sister in two Morgan Matthews productions. Later on, she landed a part in the romantic drama “Up Close and Personal”, which starred Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Redford.

Throughout her childhood, this actress made appearances on several television series such as The Mentalist, 8 Simple Rules, Judging Amy, and eventually reprised her role as Morgan for the 2017 conclusion of Girl Meets World.

Ever since she tied the knot with songwriter Dave Gibson back in 2015, she has been known as Lily Gibson. This name was used for her on an episode of NCIS in 2019 and also in the movie Four Cousins & a Christmas that came out in 2021.

Following what seemed like the longest sleep imaginable, Morgan emerged from a different part of the house, appearing significantly older and noticeably changed after spending a year away.

As the one who stepped into Morgan’s shoes in 1996 until the series concluded in 2000, I have a unique connection to that journey. Fast forward to June 2007, I proudly graduated from UC Riverside and furthered my education by earning a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Redlands in 2010. Apart from acting, I am also a singer, gracing various pro sporting events around Los Angeles with my rendition of the national anthem. In addition to my acting roles, I have been privileged to work part-time for the Los Angeles Kings hockey team as a member of the Kings Ice Crew.

She also came back as Morgan for the Girl Meets World finale.

Lauren got between Cory and Topanga for a mercifully brief four-episode arc.

From “Boy Meets World,” Cardellini moved on to the unfortunately short-lived “Freaks and Geeks,” followed by roles in “Scooby-Doo,” “ER,” “Brokeback Mountain,” “Mad Men” (for which she received an Emmy nomination for guest actress in a drama series), “New Girl,” and the Netflix show “Bloodline.” She also became part of the Marvel Universe as Clint/Hawkeye’s wife, starred in the 2019 Best Picture Oscar winner “Green Book,” and was both an actor and producer on the Netflix dark comedy “Dead to Me,” earning Emmy nominations for Best Comedy Series and Best Actress in a Comedy in 2020.

The actress is mom to daughter Lilah-Rose with longtime partner Steven Rodriguez.

Among Suplee’s notable roles since playing tough guy Frankie “The Enforcer” Stechino are appearances in films like American History X, Remember the Titans, Unstoppable, as well as his portrayal of Randy Hickey across all four seasons of My Name Is Earl. Suplee is preparing for several upcoming ventures, such as re-entering the world of Kevin Smith’s creations with the confirmed project titled “The Twilight of the Mallrights“.

Since 2006, Suplee has been in wedlock with Brandy Lewis, and together they have two children. Noteworthy, a picture he shared of his dramatically transformed physique following a tough journey to shed pounds and improve his health became popular online in January 2020. Ever since then, he’s been an avid promoter of fitness and nutrition.

As I stepped into the shoes of the school bully, Griff Hawkins, I transformed into a charming and humorous individual – occasionally witty and sarcastic, yet also grappling with the complexities of being a middle-aged man going through a crisis, as a husband too.

Among his most notable works are the deep HBO series “Tell Me You Love Me,” the successful comedy “Step Brothers,” the revived Starz show “Party Down” after a 13-year hiatus, the widely popular “Parks and Recreation,” the amusing Adult Swim series “The Greatest Event in Television History,” the sequels “Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later” and “The Good Place,” and the critically acclaimed “Big Little Lies.” He received his first Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for his portrayal of a mournful widower, or perhaps he isn’t one, in Apple TV+’s psychological drama “Severance.

In real life Scott has two kids with Naomi Sablan, his wife since 2005.

In 2011, when the series Friends became popular, it was the reason they added Jonathan Turner to the cast, Strong explained to Vanity Fair. ABC felt the need to have young adults on every show, even on a children’s program that was primarily watched by teenagers. Jonathan Turner, portrayed by Quinn, was the leather jacket-wearing, motorcycle-riding cool teacher in question.

Yet, Shawn was heartbroken when Mr. Turner got into a motorcycle crash at the end of season four – an incident that saw him recovering off-screen and reappearing only on Girl Meets World, where we found him married to a nurse he met in the hospital post-accident.

During this period, Quinn made an appearance on Melrose Place for four years, was part of Pretty Little Liars in 2012, and showed up on Feud: Betty and Joan in 2017.

He’s been married to Margaret Quinn since 1985 and they have two children.
