Dragon Ball: Why Jiren's New Form Could Defeat Ultra Instinct Goku

As a lifelong Dragon Ball fan who has witnessed the rise and fall of countless Z-Warriors, I can confidently say that Jiren, the enigmatic Pride Trooper from Universe 11, has left an indelible mark on the franchise. His battle against Goku during the Tournament of Power was nothing short of epic, pushing our hero to unlock Ultra Instinct in response.

In the Dragon Ball Super series, it’s true that Goku faces numerous adversaries, yet none compare to the formidable Jiren from Universe 11. Characters like Frieza and Goku Black might be well-known, but they lack the intensity that Jiren brings to the table. During the Tournament of Power, Jiren made his entrance as a Pride Trooper, capturing the attention of even strong warriors like Goku and Vegeta, who were left struggling to match his power output. In the end, Goku managed to defeat Jiren, but the latter’s new form has shifted the balance once more.

In Dragon Ball, the highly anticipated fight between Jiren and Goku is undeniably one of the series’ most talked-about battles. With a formidable reputation, Jiren, the mightiest warrior from Universe 11, was destined to face off against Goku during the Tournament of Power. Their long-lasting battle ultimately sparked the manifestation of Ultra Instinct in Goku. In return, Jiren activated his own power enhancement within the tournament, and as a result, the Pride Trooper has evolved into a new form known as Ultra Supervillain.

What Is Jiren’s New Form?

Indeed, it’s true! I’ve just learned that Jiren has taken on the role of the latest Ultra Supervillain character in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. This upcoming DLC for the game has given us a sneak peek at Jiren, showcasing his transformed state. It looks like both Jiren and Belmod, the Destroyer God, have been blessed with this form. If you’re familiar with Dragon Ball, you know that the Ultra Supervillain form packs quite a punch!

In the realm of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series, Fu crafted Ultra Supervillain as a means to unlock a fighter’s ultimate potential. This form, in terms of power, ranks among the highest, as both Broly and Goku Black have displayed it. The strength of characters who assume this form increases dramatically. When Vegeta succumbed to the form, he proved invincible even against the likes of Goku. Given how powerful Jiren is at his base level, it’s safe to say that Goku might face some tough challenges.

During the Tournament of Power, Jiren gave it his all in terms of strength, but Ultra Supervillain is set to boost his power levels significantly in two key aspects. To begin with, Ultra Supervillain amplifies a fighter’s fundamental power level. Furthermore, this new form will eliminate Jiren’s honorable outlook and enable him to employ underhanded tactics while battling.

Ultra Supervillain vs Ultra Instinct

In the world of Dragon Ball Super, I found myself in awe as Ultra Instinct Goku squared off against Jiren. It didn’t take long for it to become apparent that Jiren was outmatched. Not even his ultimate power-up managed to bring down Goku on its own. Yet, Jiren gave one heck of a fight that left us all breathless. In the end, he met his match when both Goku and Golden Frieza combined forces to defeat him. Ever since then, fans have been pondering if Ultra Instinct could have eventually worn down Jiren.

Initially, Goku would have triumphed in the fight if given more time, but that scenario no longer applies. During the Tournament of Power, Jiren possessed the power to challenge Ultra Instinct Goku, and his Ultra Supervillain form amplifies this strength significantly. Notably, this form exudes an evil, malicious aura, making fighters who transform into it exceptionally ruthless. This character trait contrasts sharply with Jiren, as he stands for justice and honorable combat. Given that he’s no longer bound by such principles, Jiren could potentially showcase unparalleled power and skill.

As a long-time fan of Dragon Ball, I can confidently say that Jiren’s transformation into an Ultra Supervillain has certainly piqued my interest. With his power levels already at the top tier as a Pride Trooper, this new form seems poised to take things to another level entirely. Given Goku’s past encounters with Jiren, it wouldn’t surprise me if this new form could give our favorite Saiyan a run for his money. If that were to happen, I can only imagine the frenzy among Dragon Ball fans as they scramble to revise their character tier lists yet again. It’s always exciting to see fresh developments in the world of Dragon Ball!
