God Slayer is a recently released game from Pathea Games. It’s set in a world built by powerful beings called Celestials, who survive by taking the life force of humans. But humanity isn’t defenseless – they’re learning to use a special energy called chi to challenge the Celestials.
Although not officially stated, this new project seems to be a continuation of the fantasy London-based online co-op game that London Studio was developing before Sony closed the studio in February 2024.
Picking up right after a brutal attack by the Le Domas family, Grace finds herself in an even more dangerous game, now with her sister Faith by her side. She has a single opportunity to survive, protect Faith, and seize control of the powerful council that governs everything. Four competing families are after the throne, and the winner will rule the world.
The trailer highlights detailed gameplay from both a Maxi Enduro race and a Bagger-class motorcycle race. The Maxi Enduro section demonstrates how the game’s physics will handle different surfaces, like dirt and varying tire grip. Then, the trailer showcases Bagger racing, which focuses on fast speeds and precise handling on smooth asphalt, testing players’ ability to navigate challenging turns and stay on the track.
The project focused on close-quarters combat and used parkour for players to explore the game world. Although resumes didn’t specifically mention the title, Insider Gaming has reported it was a reboot of Legacy of Kain. Interestingly, recent layoffs didn’t cause the project’s cancellation; it was actually halted several years ago, soon after Embracer Group acquired the studio.
The first issue of Inglorious X-Force, written by Tim Seely and illustrated by Michael Sta. Maria, will be available on January 21, 2026. This series is a major reboot for X-Force, prominently featuring Cable and introducing Boom-Boom as a new member.
