“Age of Revelation” hasn’t resonated with many readers, leading some to stop buying the X-Men comics. Its clear inspiration from the beloved “Age of Apocalypse” storyline hasn’t helped either. While “Age of Apocalypse” was a huge success with many excellent issues, “Age of Revelation” just doesn’t have the same impact after three decades. Technically, this issue isn’t flawed; writer Jed MacKay does a solid job with the pacing and characterizations, and there are some enjoyable scenes. The issue’s problem isn’t the quality of the writing itself.

Released in 2014, Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is an action-adventure game and part of the Sonic Boom series, acting as a prequel to the animated show. The story centers on Sonic and his friends as they try to stop Lyric, the last of the Ancients, from destroying all life. Unfortunately, the game was widely criticized for its clunky controls, disorienting camera, weak combat, strange writing, unengaging story, and overall poor quality. It also launched with numerous bugs and technical problems, making it considered the worst Sonic game ever made.

You probably still remember it, even if it’s been years: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start. This is the original Konami Code, famous for appearing in many of the company’s games, and it truly changed how people played. Entering the code at the right time gave players a big advantage. The most well-known example is in the game Contra, where it unlocks 30 extra lives at the beginning – a huge help, considering Contra is notoriously difficult! This made the Konami Code incredibly popular and cemented its place in pop culture.

In Immortal Legend Batman #5, the creative team of Kyle Higgins, Mat Groom, Erica D’urso, and Igor Monti bring the story to a satisfying conclusion. Batman returns to the planet Gotham to confront his most dangerous enemy yet: a version of himself who has become the Joker. After building a deadly island lair, this Joker unleashes an army against the Immortal Weapons. As Batman prepares for a final showdown, he realizes he’s underestimated his foe – who manages to steal the Batman belt and effectively become the new Batman.

From the very beginning, the Ultimate Universe has been anticipating the return of The Maker, and his looming presence shaped every choice made. Now that he’s back from exile, the plans created by Iron Lad, Doctor Doom, and their team are finally set in motion. True to the unpredictable nature of this world, none of those plans go as expected, which is a testament to the masterful storytelling by Camp throughout the entire issue.

Although the year’s most talked-about movies of 2025 got a lot of praise, several other excellent films didn’t receive much attention. Throughout the year, a few truly great movies were overlooked, possibly due to limited availability, ineffective promotion, or bad luck with release dates. Whatever the reason, these films deserve to be seen by a wider audience, and hopefully will be discovered over time.
