Sherlock Creator’s “Ambitious” Return To New 6-Part Detective Series Teased After Season 2 Reunion Confirmation

Both UKTV and PBS were clearly impressed with Mark Gatiss’ detective, Gabriel Book – a character inspired by Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot – and greenlit a second season even before the first one aired in either the UK or the US. The series follows Book, a charming bookseller who secretly works as an amateur detective authorized by the Prime Minister. His London neighborhood becomes a scene of mystery and murder in the years following World War II.

30 Years Ago Today, The Weirdest Power Rangers Series Ended (And It’s Been Basically Buried Since)

Even after 30 years and numerous teams, Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers remains the most unique season of the Power Rangers franchise. When it concluded on February 17, 1996, the Alien Rangers largely faded from the rest of the series, with their story and characters rarely referenced or revisited.

HBO Max Is About To Lose Jason Statham’s Underrated Action Movie Sequel

As a big action movie fan, I really enjoyed Jason Statham as Arthur Bishop in The Mechanic back in 2011, and I was glad to see him reprise the role in 2016’s Mechanic: Resurrection. I noticed it was added to HBO Max last February, but unfortunately, it’s leaving the platform on February 28th. The story picks up about five years after the first film, and it’s a classic setup: Bishop, who’s trying to enjoy retirement, gets pulled back in when a dangerous enemy kidnaps the woman he loves. It’s got a great cast too, including Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Alba, and Michelle Yeoh!

While we’re still waiting for news about the anime’s return, the manga is continuing with new volumes and a special fanbook. Recently, the author, Mizuho, shared an update and a sneak peek at the latest release on her official X account.

David Cronenberg’s eXistenZ Is the Sci-Fi Film The Matrix Overshadowed

David Cronenberg’s eXistenZ, starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jude Law, is one of his most unusual movies. Cronenberg is famous for his strange and thought-provoking stories, which often explore the relationship between the human body and technology. Despite the varying success of his films, eXistenZ didn’t receive much attention when it was released.
