Another key influence was Roadside Picnic, a novel that inspired Andrei Tarkovsky’s classic film Stalker, which in turn inspired the video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Beginning next week with chapter 26, the Deadpool: Samurai manga is heading towards its conclusion. This might be unexpected for readers, especially since the series recently returned after a long break, with writer Sanshiro Kasama and artist Hikaru Uesugi placing Deadpool in a classic anime setting. This indicates Marvel Studios, led by Kevin Feige, has plans for the character even after Avengers: Secret Wars reboots the timeline. While the studio has successfully adapted storylines like Ragnarok and The Mighty Thor, there are still many important Thor arcs from the Marvel comics that haven’t been adapted for the big screen yet.

After much discussion, it’s now official: a new Klingon character in Star Trek is LGBTQ+. While it hasn’t been specified if Jay-Den Kraag (played by Karim Diane) is gay, bisexual, or pansexual, the seventh episode of Starfleet Academy strongly suggests a romantic relationship with human War College student Kyle Djokovic. Furthermore, Karim Diane’s co-star, George Hawkins, has confirmed Jay-Den is also attracted to Khionian student Darem, stating there is “romantic interest” between them.

Lyrical Games is fully funding the project and helping with its production and launch, but The Chinese Room will still control the creative direction and own the game’s intellectual property.
