Star Wars: Stunt Performer Accuses Disney of Plagiarism With Anime Series

Hideyoshi, a choreographer, claims that the Star Wars: Visions episode, “The Bandits of Golak,” directly used choreography from her 2019 fan film, Dark Jedi. She points out that despite changes to the weapons, the action sequences are strikingly similar, even using the same camera angles. Lorenz questioned Disney’s actions, suggesting that because her film was a non-profit fan tribute, they felt entitled to use her work. She also implied that Disney should either better compensate their animators or hire dedicated action designers. A comparison of the two action sequences is available for viewers to assess the similarities and determine if her fan film served as the basis for the Visions short.

Apple is building excitement for its new movie, F1, which will be available on its streaming service starting December 12th. To coincide with the Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 23rd, Apple shared a sneak peek featuring Brad Pitt as his character, Sonny Hayes, set against the backdrop of Las Vegas.
