As a dedicated fan, I am absolutely enamored by the extraordinary bond that has blossomed between Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth on the set of their Netflix movie. Their camaraderie goes beyond the silver screen, with Laura describing Liam as her “lifelong friend” and “the safest person to talk about everything in my life.
Laura Dern has found a lifelong friend in Lonely Planet costar Liam Hemsworth.
To put it simply, she views him as the most secure individual she could confide in about anything in her life, even discussing their methodologies for filming intimate scenes in their upcoming Netflix production.
During the filming of those particular scenes, Laura shared with People magazine (October 11 issue), there wasn’t anything we couldn’t discuss or collaborate creatively and professionally on. However, it was not just the two of us; we also received a great deal of support, numerous conversations took place between us.
In her own words, she feels fortunate to collaborate with Liam, just like in Big Little Lies. She also credited an intimacy coordinator for creating a comfortable environment where they could establish boundaries. At 57 years old, she mentioned that as young actors, they’ve had various types of experiences on film sets before.
Similarly to Liam, aged 34, expressed that he was deeply engrossed during the process of shooting the romantic movie, which revolved around a May-December romance between an author and a finance manager, as they traveled overseas.
In some instances while filming in the bustling markets of Marrakesh, Liam explained, “It seemed as if the camera wasn’t even there.” The entire filming process, he added, had a casual feel, like we were simply enjoying our time together and the experience happened to be captured simultaneously.
He mentioned that sometimes it seemed as if they were just spending time together casually, like Laura and Liam, but there was a hidden camera recording the moment somewhere.
Since they enjoyed themselves so much during filming, it’s not surprising at all that Laura and Liam are eager for another round.
Laura expressed her certainty about a follow-up, and Liam playfully suggested that their characters could jet off to Tahiti, where they’d teach scuba diving.

She expressed to TopMob News in January that if it’s destined, she will be there for the reunion with Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, and Zoë Kravitz for the third season of HBO’s show, as these ladies are her closest friends.
