NBA 2K25 Adds Gravity Ball on October 18th for $7.99

As a seasoned gamer with years of basketball and gaming experience under my belt, I must admit that the introduction of Gravity Ball in NBA 2K25 has piqued my interest like never before! The idea of an arcade-style basketball game within a sports simulation is a bold move, one that I’ve not seen attempted in this genre before.

Among all possible paths NBA 2K25 from Visual Concepts might have chosen, not many likely imagined a gameplay structure similar to Epic Games’ Fortnite. Yet, it is introducing Gravity Ball, an online multiplayer title you can access via The City, starting October 18th. Have a look at the unveiling trailer below.

Originating from Visual Concepts South, the same team behind The Track mini-game and LEGO 2K Drive, Gravity Ball retails at $7.99. This game offers an arcade-style basketball adventure with options for both 3v3 and 5v5 matches, along with exciting power-ups, distinctive customization features, and additional elements. Moreover, it rewards players with Season XP and Virtual Credits as they advance in the main game.

It’s certainly an over-the-top addition to the game, that too for a price, but it could be an intriguing direction for the franchise, hosting other unique experiences. Stay tuned for more updates in the future.

The video game titled NBA 2K25 can be played on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, personal computers, and Nintendo Switch. You can read our review of the main game by following this link.
