Silent Hill 2 Remake Dev Bloober Team is “Open” to Developing More Silent Hill Remakes, or Even a New Entry

As a seasoned gamer who has traversed through countless haunted corridors and labyrinthine towns, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation and excitement at the prospect of more Silent Hill games. Having grown up with the original series, the remake of Silent Hill 2 has not only met my expectations but surpassed them in many ways.

Despite earlier assumptions, the remake of “Silent Hill 2” has surprisingly become both critically acclaimed and commercially successful. It’s now a common query whether the developer, Bloober Team, will create more games from this series in the future. According to the studio, it’s a definite possibility.

In a recent conversation with IGN, Wojciech Piejko, who is both game director and designer at Bloober Team, mentioned that they are receptive to the idea of creating another remake for the Silent Hill series, or perhaps starting something completely fresh within this beloved franchise.

Piejko replied when asked the question, ‘We’re always ready for new opportunities. If something appeals to us, we’ll definitely consider it.’

He continued, “There are chances you must take advantage of.” Just like how they remade Silent Hill 2, you too have the potential to recreate a legend. Absolutely, I think anything is achievable.

On different occasions, Bloober Team has hinted at their potential return to the Silent Hill series. Before the recent remake’s launch, CEO Piotr Babieno expressed that it wasn’t the end of their adventure with Konami. Additionally, in an interview last year with GamingBolt, Maciej Głomb, the producer of Silent Hill 2, suggested that “never say never” about future projects related to this series. In its initial three days, Silent Hill 2 managed to sell more than a million copies, garnering extensive praise from critics. As such, it is likely that Konami will be content with its success – and if so, this could potentially pave the way for a sequel involving collaboration with Bloober Team.

Currently, Bloober Team has unveiled their upcoming project titled “Cronos: The New Dawn“, which is a science fiction survival horror game scheduled for release next year. For further insights into the storyline, you can find details through this link.
