According to a recent strategy report, Dambuster Studios is now fully focused on developing Dead Island 3 following the October 2024 release of Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition. All developers are working on the new title, and once the Luna and Mac versions of Dead Island 2 are finished, the entire quality assurance team will join the project. Early work on Dead Island 3—including designing the features, characters, world, and story—is progressing quickly, with a projected release date sometime in the first quarter of 2028.

Following their time at Scoops Ahoy and Family Video on Stranger Things season 4, Steve and Robin now manage the WSQK radio station while Hawkins is under military control. They’ve been using their morning show, “The Squawk,” to secretly pass information to their friends, helping them navigate the dangerous situation. A new theory circulating on Reddit suggests they might also be compiling a list of local residents’ favorite songs, potentially as a way to help people cope if Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) attacks.

People noticed an update on the ESRB website and it quickly spread online, with fans on Twitter and Reddit closely examining it and guessing what it might mean for the game. Screenshots of the updated rating were shared everywhere, sparking discussions about whether the game might be cancelled. Although Kojima Productions hasn’t officially said anything about a PC version of Death Stranding 2, the earlier mention of “Windows PC” in the rating details led many to expect an announcement soon.
