Missing You: Release date and news for Harlan Coben series

As a movie enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the intricate plots and captivating characters of Harlan Coben’s works, I eagerly await the arrival of Missing You on Netflix. With its gripping premise and an ensemble cast that includes Rosalind Eleazar, Jessica Plummer, Ashley Walters, and Richard Armitage, this series promises to be a riveting addition to my watchlist.

Although Thriller Fool Me Once was just launched on Netflix barely a year ago, the streaming service is already preparing to delight fans with another Harlan Coben series titled Missing You.

In my humble opinion as a film critic, this captivating five-part series takes viewers on a gripping journey with detective Kat Donovan, brilliantly portrayed by Rosalind Eleazar (from Slow Horses). Her tranquil existence is shattered when she unexpectedly comes across her ex-fiancé on a dating platform, a decade after he mysteriously disappeared without a trace. This startling encounter compels Kat to revisit and unravel the deeply buried secrets of her past, promising an intriguing exploration of both love and mystery.

Joining Eleazar, we also have Jessica Plummer, Ashley Walters, and the well-known Richard Armitage.

In my role, I bear a heavy and intriguing responsibility. I’m the one who guards a powerful secret that, if exposed, could shatter countless lives. It’s a fascinating weight on my shoulders.

Coben previously lifted the lid on Missing You, revealing it was “so much fun to make”.

He said, ‘Given there are just five episodes, you can finish it quite swiftly.’ He himself admitted to having missed the ending, despite writing it, because it was such an unexpected twist.

“But it will also really, genuinely move you. You’re going to shed a little bit of a tear.”

Inquiring minds want to know more about the upcoming series, specifically, its plotline and release date on Netflix. Let’s delve into the details of Harlan Coben’s “Missing You.

Eleven years have passed since Detective Kat Donovan’s beloved fiancé, Josh, vanished without a trace and hasn’t been heard from since.

Suddenly recognizing him on a dating app, her world is shaken once more. The return of Josh brings with it an opportunity for her to delve back into the enigma surrounding her father’s murder, uncovering old secrets hidden in her past.

The TV show is inspired by Harlan Coben’s 2014 book with the same title, yet, similar to his past Netflix productions, the narrative has been shifted from America to Britain.
