Ice Spice in Fortnite: Release date and how to get the skin

As a long-time Fortnite enthusiast with a soft spot for hip-hop culture, I must admit my excitement is at an all-time high! The return of nostalgia land and the arrival of Ice Spice, one of the hottest rappers right now, promises to be quite the ride.

The Doctor Doom season is over, and Fortnite is now back in nostalgia land for the penultimate season of Chapter 5. It’s known as Remix, and it was sworn in with a huge live event with performances from Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice.

I’m no newbie to the world of Fortnite, especially since I witnessed Eminem gracing our screens during the grand opening of Season 5 last year. And who could forget, as a result of that event, we were treated to an exclusive Slim Shady skin!

So, does that mean we’ll be playing as Ice Spice during this short chapter?

And if so, what tasks must we complete to unlock the skin?

When does the Ice Spice skin release in Fortnite?

It looks like the Ice Spice skin will be available from Thursday 14th November 2024.

In the first and second weeks of the ongoing season, you’ll find a wealth of rap-themed items featuring Snoop Dogg and Eminem. However, the Ice Spice character skin won’t be available until week three.

That’s not too far away now though. Week three starts on Thursday 14th November 2024!

How to get the Ice Spice skin in Fortnite

So once week three begins, how do we get our hands on the Ice Spice skin?

It looks like the Ice Spice skin will be available to buy in the Fortnite Item Shop.

Also, the battle royale map will change slightly, with Shark Island turning into Ice Isle.

Should you make your way to that location, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in a battle against Ice Spice, acting as the boss. Victory will reward you with both the Grappler and Rifle belonging to Ice Spice, making your journey more than worthwhile.
