Emmerdale reveals big Steph Miligan revelations in ITVX release

As a longtime fan of Emmerdale and someone who has had their fair share of estranged family relationships, I must say this week’s episode was a rollercoaster ride that kept me glued to my screen.

In the most recent episode of Emmerdale, there were significant disclosures that left viewers knowing why Steph Miligan (played by Georgia Jay) has been distant from her parents.

Last week, Steph arrived just in the right moment, preventing father Caleb (William Ash) from getting killed by a vindictive Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson). He managed to save him from certain death.

Although Steph mentioned that she had come to the village solely to collect her inheritance left by her deceased grandmother, Helen Fox (Sharon Maughan), Caleb held optimism that he might be able to persuade her, inviting her to Mill Cottage for a morning meal.

As Ruby came back from visiting their son Nicky (Lewis Cope), the atmosphere began to brighten, prompting Caleb’s departure to allow for a private conversation between mother and daughter about their outstanding matters.

Looking back on old times, Steph found herself reflecting on the bitter memory of being abandoned at a boarding school, as Ruby reminded her about the instance when she was only 14 and took a car without permission. Steph had yearned to reside with her grandparents, but in Ruby’s opinion, it wasn’t feasible.

When Steph made disparaging comments about Ruby’s approach to parenting, Ruby became enraged and struck her. Attempting to make amends, Ruby expressed regret, but Steph refused, asserting that her mother had always been indifferent towards her, and left in a huff.

In the process, Caleb confided in his half-sister Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), admitting through tears that Steph’s challenging teenage years were due to errors on his part.

Steph discovered her father was with another woman, and Caleb urged her not to reveal it. Later, when Ruby found out about the situation, she expressed her pain towards Steph and decided to leave.

Caleb regrets not speaking out to Ruby earlier, but Chas encourages him to take action now and mend his relationship with Steph.

At the mill, Caleb soothed troubled Ruby, telling her that Steph was their finest, and in time, she’d feel better about it.

However, elsewhere, Steph received a secretive phone call where they shared with the recipient details about Ruby’s demeanor and emphasized that they were aware of “the stakes” involved.

Casually seating herself next to Ross Barton (Michael Parr), Steph initiated a flirty conversation and suggested they continue it at the B&B together.

However, who might she be secretly collaborating with? Is there a chance it could be her upcoming grandfather, Anthony Fox (played by Nicholas Day)?
