Six weeks following the birth of their first child, a son named Jack, Chris Bassett’s wife from The Real Housewives of Potomac announced that she is dealing with certain postnatal health issues.
In an exclusive chat with Francesca Amiker from TopMob News during the Ebony Power 100 Gala in New York City on November 17th, Candiace shared that she has a blood clot in her left ovary. As a result, she’s been prescribed blood thinners to manage this condition. She mentioned that everything is going smoothly and her treatment involves daily injections. Amidst it all, she finds strength in the thought of her son and feels that every challenge she faces is worth enduring for his sake.
remarking that it took her some effort to emerge from childbirth, the 37-year-old humorously exclaimed, “Post-partum feels rough. Let’s make it a t-shirt slogan.
However, Candiace wouldn’t change her motherhood journey for the world.
I can hardly find the right words to express it, but my initial weeks with Jack have felt otherworldly,” I confess, filled with awe. “It’s an extraordinary, inexplicable sensation that leaves me speechless. I feel like I’ve transformed – become a different person, a new woman. Yet, there are moments when I’m worn out and a bit frayed.
Almost two months since Jack’s October 3rd debut, I was eagerly preparing for my semi-return on the red carpet at the Ebony bash.
She shared with TopMob that it was her initial experience as a mother, making her feel firmly rooted, yet she admitted to constantly checking his videos and pictures every few minutes.
Regarding her remarkable appearance after pregnancy, the Bravo star playfully commented about her dress, “It required a community effort. Approximately three individuals were needed to hoist me into it. I’m wearing a corset.
As a devoted follower, I must admit that, although Candiace is utterly immersed in every moment of motherhood these days, there’s one activity she hasn’t been relishing while tending to her newborn: indulging in the latest season of RHOP.
Candiace, who departed from the show earlier this year after six seasons, shared that she hasn’t been keeping up with the series because she’s been wrapped up in a tranquil environment, dealing primarily with post-partum, caring for her newborn, and making necessary adjustments. However, she sends her well wishes to everyone involved. She is content with our decision to step aside, as it contributed significantly to her peace. She has no regrets about the choice.
As for a possible future return? She added, “I never say never.”
