A well-known online leaker, @Light_88_, announced on November 16, 2025, that the next Pokémon game (Generation 10) will bring back traditional turn-based battles. This is a big shift for the series, and it’s not the only new detail. The game, currently called Pokémon Wind and Wave, is expected to blend classic and modern gameplay styles, taking inspiration from various past Pokémon titles. The leak also suggests players will have more control over their characters’ movements during turn-based battles, similar to Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Interestingly, battles will sometimes begin automatically as you explore the game world.

These characters sometimes originated from a writer’s desire to create someone similar to an Avenger, like Thor. Other times, they were introduced through large marketing campaigns, such as DC’s ‘New Age of Heroes,’ which actually led to a surge in Marvel-inspired characters. Regardless of their origins, these characters became popular heroes in their own right. Here are seven Avengers parodies that surprisingly found a place in the DC Universe.

As a huge fan, I’ve been completely sucked into all the hype for Stranger Things Season 5! The movie Playdate, featuring Alan Ritchson and Kevin James, follows Brian, an accountant who’s recently lost his job and is trying to adjust to being a full-time stepfather. Bored and looking for something to do, he agrees to a playdate between his stepson and a friendly stay-at-home dad named Jeff (Ritchson). What he expects to be a normal afternoon quickly turns into a dangerous fight for survival when they and the kids are pursued by ruthless mercenaries. It’s a wild premise that could explain the film’s high streaming numbers despite mixed reviews from both audiences and critics.

RPG fans are keeping a close eye on Phantom Blade Zero, a new action-RPG that mixes fast-paced combat with the challenging style of games like Souls. It’s been building a lot of excitement with its impressive trailers and interviews, and could become a surprise hit this year, similar to how Black Myth: Wukong unexpectedly took off in 2024.

It’s hard to say when a beloved movie series is truly over these days. You could blame it on a lack of original ideas in Hollywood, but reboots and sequels to older films are incredibly popular, and sometimes they’re actually great. However, these five franchises seem to have a clear path forward. The bigger question is whether continuing them is a good idea, or if some stories are best left as they are, products of their time.

Looking back at the initial plans for the characters, it’s clear Duke Thomas was originally intended to be the next Robin. However, Damian Wayne’s death and subsequent resurrection changed those plans. While Damian has become a great Robin, it unfortunately eliminated Duke’s opportunity, which is a real loss for the character.
