Following the upcoming remakes of Silent Hill 2 (2024) and Silent Hill f (2025), Konami is planning to consistently release new Silent Hill games. Producer Motoi Okamoto recently told Famitsu that Konami aims to launch a new installment in the horror series every year, making annual releases a key goal for the future.
Although he didn’t share specifics about the future of the Silent Hill series, he mentioned Konami’s goal is to release a new game each year, including both previously revealed and surprise titles. They’ve been working towards this, starting with the Silent Hill 2 remake released in 2024.
After launching Silent Hill 2 in October 2024, we successfully released Silent Hill f in September 2025, marking a strong return for the Silent Hill series,” said Okamoto. “Our goal is to release a new game each year, including titles we’ve already announced and some surprises. We’re not sure if we can consistently meet this goal, but as the series producer, we’ll give it our all. Ultimately, we want to keep fans excited about Silent Hill consistently.”
Konami revived the Silent Hill series a few years ago, announcing a remake of Silent Hill 2, a new game called Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall. The first two have received excellent reviews, but Silent Hill: Townfall hasn’t had much promotion. However, a recent leak suggests it will be released on March 26, 2026, which would support Konami’s apparent plan to release a new Silent Hill game each year.
Last October, Okamoto pointed out that Konami announced all three titles around the same time in 2022 to demonstrate their dedication to bringing back the popular horror series. He explained that the company aimed to show fans just how committed they were to reviving it.
In 2022, we revealed three Silent Hill projects – Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall – all at once,” explained Okamoto. “We didn’t want to just announce one remake as a cautious first step. We wanted to show everyone how dedicated we were to bringing the series back. While developing a remake and a completely new game at the same time is risky, our main goal was to demonstrate our strong commitment.
With the potential release of Silent Hill: Townfall just months away, the Silent Hill series is growing, and Bloober Team is revisiting its history with a remake of the very first Silent Hill game. The studio, already working on a remake of Silent Hill 2, revealed they started developing this original remake back in October.
I just finished checking out Silent Hill f, and I’ve got my review up now! You can play it on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S if you’re interested.
