IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak told Game Informer that the game will feature opportunities for infiltration, specifically within a chateau shown in the gameplay trailer. Narrative and cinematic director Martin Emborg explained that they’re aiming to bring the same open-ended gameplay style from the Hitman series – offering players multiple ways to enter and navigate the chateau.
I’m really excited about this new game! The director, Chad Moore – he used to work on Arcanum, which I loved – told Game Informer they’re putting a huge emphasis on making choices actually matter. They want every decision I make to feel personal, like it genuinely changes the story in a surprising and believable way. It sounds like they’re aiming for a really immersive experience, and that’s exactly what I’m hoping for.
The story has reached a critical turning point. With Loki, the Straw Hat Pirates, and the New Giant Warrior Pirates returning from underground, the giants are now the biggest immediate threat to the World Government as a major war approaches. In Chapter 1172, titled “The Elbaph I Dreamed Of,” Elder Jarul boldly states his defiance against the God’s Knights and refuses to submit to the World Government. He references a prophecy by Harley, which predicts a coming global divide, and declares that Elbaph will actively oppose the World Government from now on.
Okay, so I spotted a couple of good deals! First up is Wild Hearts by Omega Force. I remember seeing that one come out in February 2023, and most reviews put it around the 75-79 range on Metacritic. The other game is Immortals of Aveum from Ascendant Studios, which dropped in August 2023. It’s a first-person shooter, but with magic, and reviews were a bit more mixed, landing somewhere between 65 and 75 on Metacritic.
Even though many people have forgotten how good these 1980s sci-fi shows were, they’re still really fun to watch. In a way, being overlooked actually makes them more special – they’ve become hidden treasures from a decade full of fantastic sci-fi. It’s a shame they were ever forgotten, but at least they still stand out as being truly great.
