As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but get excited whenever a beloved title like Shenmue 3 is in the spotlight again. The recent change in publishing rights to ININ Games has already piqued our interest, and now this new survey seems to be hinting at some exciting developments!
In November, the publishing rights for Shenmue 3 were transferred from Deep Silver to ININ Games. Since then, ININ Games has been hinting at future announcements. Recently, a survey conducted by the company may be indicating what these upcoming announcements might be about.
On Twitter, ININ Games recently posted a short survey about Shenmue 3, including questions regarding potential availability on platforms like Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. Interestingly, the survey also asks if players would be interested in seeing the game on less-mentioned platforms such as PS5 and Mac.

In its current release, Shenmue 3 can be played only on PlayStation 4 and PC. Since ININ Games holds the publishing rights for the game but not the entire franchise, it seems likely that ports will be announced soon. As for Nintendo, it’s intriguing to speculate whether Shenmue 3 will also appear on the upcoming Switch 2 or whatever name Nintendo chooses for its next-generation console.
