As a seasoned analyst with decades of experience in the blockchain and AI sectors, I find the partnership between Injective and Sonic to be an exciting development that signals a new era for decentralized finance (DeFi). Having closely followed the growth of both these platforms, it’s fascinating to see them collaborate on a cross-chain AI platform that promises to revolutionize the landscape.
As an analyst, I’m excited to share that I’m involved in the launch of the Smart Agent Hub, a groundbreaking cross-chain artificial intelligence platform developed by Layer-1 blockchain protocol Injective and Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) blockchain Sonic. This innovative hub will serve as a bridge, enabling AI agents created within the SVM to seamlessly integrate into the decentralized Injective ecosystem.
Hub starts with Solana
Anticipates launching the inaugural Smart Agent Hub testnet by the first quarter of 2025, with complete integration taking place progressively over several months. Once operational, developers working on Injective can roll out AI agent apps powered by Solana, utilizing a Remote Procedure Call (RPC).
The central system will connect Injective WebAssembly blockchain with Solana using Sonic infrastructure and the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol. This connection will also establish a bridge for facilitating the transfer of Solana’s native currency (SOL), Solana-native tokens, wrapped Injective tokens, and native Injective tokens.
As a researcher, I’m thrilled to share that our recent collaboration with Sonic follows hot on the heels of our launch of the iAgent Software Development Kit by Injective. This innovative tool seamlessly integrates OpenAI technology into AI agents, empowering them to scrutinize data, forecast trends, and execute trades autonomously. According to our announcement, this is just one more step forward in our mission to revolutionize the AI landscape.
“This further cements Injective’s vision of a Multi-VM future where any developer can build any agent using their choice of top VMs.”
AI agents are just beginning to shine
According to Injective, there’s significant potential for growth in the AI agent market, as it currently only has a market capitalization of $11.2 billion. Notably, Fetch.ai and Virtuals Protocol make up more than half of this total. This is significantly smaller compared to the markets for decentralized finance ($145 billion) and stablecoins ($208 billion), as pointed out by Injective.
It’s also observed by Injective and Sonic, as well as others, that this presents an opportunity. Since last October, Coinbase has made available their Based Agent AI tool for building agents in the field of cryptocurrency exchange.
Currently, Near Protocol’s Near Intents is undergoing its beta phase. This feature facilitates the exchange of numerous indigenous cryptocurrencies and allows seamless connection with any blockchain or digital wallet through the use of smart contracts on Near and chain signatures.
Story Protocol’s innovative approach to blockchain technology has developed a theoretical structure enabling artificial intelligence entities to engage in the exchange of intellectual property, encompassing a wide spectrum of ideas and creations.
