I just finished reading Barry Hertz’s book about the Fast & Furious saga, Welcome To the Family, and it blew my mind! Apparently, the original plan for Furious 7 wasn’t what we saw in theaters. They were actually going to have Dom, Brian, and the whole team destroy God’s Eye completely, rather than just give it to the authorities. It would have been a much more definitive ending for that chapter, but it would have also meant a totally different path for the franchise moving forward!

One of the standout PlayStation titles is Death Stranding 2. The latest game from Hideo Kojima improves upon the original with more action and a compelling story. HBO Max is adding more anime movies from GKIDS in December 2025, starting December 1st. This is part of a larger deal making HBO Max the only place to stream many of GKIDS’ most popular films. The first set of movies arrived this fall, and now fans can look forward to another collection of anime films, all of which have been highly rated by Rotten Tomatoes.

Mark Wahlberg played a full-fledged villain for the first time since 1996’s Fear in the action thriller Flight Risk, directed by Mel Gibson. Despite a disappointing box office run – earning only $48 million worldwide – the film began streaming on HBO Max on November 26th. Wahlberg fully embraced the role of the deceptive pilot, going so far as to shave his head rather than use a bald cap to convincingly portray the character’s unhinged appearance. The story centers on a flight transporting an air marshal and a fugitive, where the true identities and motives of everyone on board are uncertain.

The movie Wicked: For Good featured a surprising scene where the Grimmerie, a magical book, showed a spell to someone besides Elphaba. A fan has now translated the spell. In the first Wicked film, the Wizard and Madame Morrible couldn’t read the language of the spellbook, so they tricked Elphaba into giving wings to the monkeys.
