Styx: Blades of Greed is Brimming With Fresh Tools and Stealth Options in New Gameplay

Following a delay until February 2026, we’re now getting a good look at gameplay for Cyanide’s Styx: Blades of Greed. This time around, the notorious goblin thief Styx is teaming up with the Black Hand, a crew known from the game Of Orcs and Men, to pull off heists and steal Quartz from the Inquisition.

One of his assignments sends Styx to the imposing Wall Fortress, a heavily guarded, complex structure. While Styx isn’t known for direct fighting, he now has new gadgets like a grappling hook to help him. He can still rely on his usual tactics – poisoning enemies, silent takedowns, and traps – particularly when trying to get a crucial stamped document needed to use the fortress’s lift.

What really sets Blades of Greed apart is how much freedom it gives you. You’re not locked into a single approach. Don’t want to use the elevator? You can climb the treacherous Wall instead. While you could fight all the guards, maybe a quick invisibility spell would be smarter. And if things get really bad, you could even control someone’s mind and… well, let’s just say there are options.

The Wall Fortress is one of three large areas Styx will infiltrate during his missions, though some will likely be more challenging than others. Meanwhile, the crew’s airship is attacked by another massive vessel, and it’s unclear what will happen to them.

The action RPG Styx: Blades of Greed will be available on February 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. You can see more of the game’s stealth-focused gameplay here.
