A fresh psychological thriller is set to debut on Paramount Plus, as they’ve unveiled an intense teaser for the show starring Eve Myles.
The storyline of The Crow Girl is loosely adapted from a popular novel, following Detective Chief Inspector Jeanette Kilburn (portrayed by Myles from Torchwood) and her partner, Detective Inspector Lou Stanley (played by Dougray Scott from Vigil). They embark on a chilling investigation when the lifeless bodies of unidentified young men, filled with the anesthetic lidocaine, start appearing in Bristol.
In the trailer, we witness a shadowy figure hauling a corpse-filled sack into a self-storage unit, just as Jeanette learns about another lifeless body discovered. This kicks off an inquiry.
In a short video lasting about a minute, we see Jeanette and her crew seeking assistance from Dr. Sophia Craven, the prime suspect’s psychotherapist (comparable to Mr. Bates in “The Post Office” with Katherine Kelly). Dr. Craven provides a concerning viewpoint regarding the case.
For Jeanette, it’s “a race against time to untangle the web of secrets to solve this mystery”.

Additional actors joining the lineup are Elliot Edusah portraying dedicated police rookie DC Mike Dilliston, Clara Rugaard playing Victoria Burkeman, Victoria Hamilton in the role of Superintendent Verity Pound, and Chloé Sweetlove as Madeleine.
Starting this coming Thursday, the 16th of January, I’ll be eagerly awaiting the arrival of the series on my TV screen, streaming exclusively on Paramount Plus. The entire first season is set to debut as a box set there, so I’m planning a marathon viewing session!
