Thorpe retrieved a chair that ultimately decided the new champion’s fate, and while he was holding it, Femi took advantage of the situation by slamming Williams’ knee onto the chair, seizing his chance to pin Williams immediately afterward. As a result, Oba Femi has ended the Trick Williams era and ushered in his own.
In a swift turn of events, it was Williams and Femi who found themselves grappling together, with Femi forcefully pushing Williams to the ground. However, Williams retaliated strongly, delivering a powerful slam that sent Femi tumbling out of the ring. Just then, Thorpe appeared from behind the scenes, clutching a chair, making his way towards the center of the ring. Williams came close to ending the battle with a devastating move on Femi, yet Femi managed to avoid defeat by kicking out at the last second.
Williams and Femi engaged in a back-and-forth one-on-one confrontation, during which Williams gained the upper hand using a powerful backbreaker and a heavy slam to the ground. This was followed by another strong slam that put Femi down, face first onto the mat. Williams appeared dominant but was later caught and slammed by Femi. In response, Williams retaliated with a DDT and a roundhouse kick leading into a pin attempt. However, Femi managed to avoid defeat by kicking out of the move.
In this thrilling scene, Femi delivered an uppercut that sent Williams sprawling. Following that, a powerslam and a cover move by Femi were interrupted by Thorpe, who managed to drag the referee out of the ring. With quick footwork, Femi targeted Thorpe, dealing harsh blows with kicks and a spinebuster before casually throwing him out of the ring. The match continued when Femi landed another uppercut, but was caught off guard by Thorpe’s Trick Shot, sending them both to the mat for a pin attempt. Remarkably, Femi miraculously managed to avoid defeat by kicking out.
As a diehard film enthusiast, let me recount an electrifying moment I witnessed recently: When Trick Shot master, Williams, took his next swing, I, Femi, swiftly intercepted it, sending the shot careening into a chair that Thorpe was holding onto. This unexpected collision sent Thorpe tumbling back. Seizing the opportunity, I retaliated with a powerful slam, pinning Williams down and securing the 3-count. With this decisive victory, I marked the end of Trick Williams’ reign and heralded the dawn of what promises to be an extended tenure as the new NXT Champion, Oba Femi.
