With snow, wind, and continuous rain sweeping across the United Kingdom, a sun-soaked respite awaits viewers on their television sets – Love Island: All Stars!
The long-awaited second season returns to ITV2 on Monday, 13th January, featuring familiar characters once more gracing the villa, some of whom might have entered it previously.
This coming season will be shot in South Africa; it’s where the winter series used to take place, until it got swapped out for All Stars.
In this freshly renovated villa, we hope that new friendships will flourish, while some tense reconnections might also occur.
Learn about the ins and outs of the fresh Love Island villa, as well as the various locations where the series gets shot.
Where is Love Island filmed?
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that unlike previous seasons filmed in Majorca, the upcoming Love Island: All Stars is all set to be shot in the beautiful landscapes of South Africa! The islanders will be touching down in their African abode for the next five weeks, and I can hardly wait to see the magic unfold.
The All Stars villa lies nestled amidst the scenic beauty of a mountain range and vineyards, in the picturesque town of Franschhoek, South Africa.
The villa featured in the 2023 winter series is the same one, but it’s been updated following some recent renovations, giving it a fresh new look.
The Ludus Magnus villa, estimated at around £1.2 million, can be found not far from Cape Town.
For season 8, the series took place in a villa in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, Mallorca.
What is the Love Island villa like?
The property boasts two sun-drenched swimming pools, encircled by renowned sunbathing chairs where visitors can bask in the sun and enjoy lively conversations.
This expansive 17-bedroom dwelling includes traditional amenities reminiscent of Love Island, such as vibrant outdoor seating areas, decking around the pool, various beds within the communal rooms, and it boasts additional unique attributes.
In the year 2025, a hidden garden will be unveiled, where it’s stipulated that partners can’t visit as a pair. Instead, it seems designed for individuals seeking a quiet retreat.
There is also a new hideaway with two double beds.
Where was the old Love Island villa?
The villa featured in season 8 and was located in Mallorca.
This place features a bedroom, living space, vanity room, bathing facility, beach shelter, terrace, alfresco cooking area, swimming pool, and a fireplace, and it’s estimated to be valued at approximately £2.7 million.
Regarding the designs for season 8, executive producer Mike Spencer once mentioned that it featured the largest bedroom the show has ever seen.
Essentially, our aim is to return to the dynamic of the original series where they’re adversarial towards each other. This setup allows for more engaging back-and-forth dialogue, especially as they retire for the day.
Additionally, the girls’ changing area offered a greater number of tables, specifically six as opposed to four. This expansion should provide a more spacious and comfortable environment when the location becomes busier with some lively personalities.
Can you rent the Love Island 2025 villa and stay there on holiday?
You can!
The grand Ludus Magnus can be reserved exclusively for your private use, boasting a total of eight Manor House rooms and three villas. For specific pricing details and rate information, please get in touch with the property’s owners directly.
You can find out more on the Ludus Magnus website.
Love Island’s All-Stars kicks off on the 13th of January, with episodes airing every day (Monday through Friday) at 9 PM. You can catch it on ITV2 and ITVX.
