These folks are giving a new meaning to the term “twin flame.”
The reason is that the identical twin sisters, Brittany Deane Salyers and Briana Deane Salyers, both aged 39, have married identical twin brothers Josh Salyers and Jeremy Salyers, who are 41 years old. As a result, their sons are being raised not as first cousins but more like siblings to each other.
At the Twins Day Festival held in Ohio, these pairs initially crossed paths. As reported by the sisters, it only took about 15 minutes of conversing with their counterparts for them to realize that what they felt was indeed love.
According to Briana, Jeremy and I found ourselves naturally drawn to each other in November. It was as if we were perfectly matched, and the same thing happened with Brittany and Josh.
six months after our fateful encounter, I found myself witnessing an unforgettable moment – a heartwarming double proposal between Josh and Jeremy to Brittany and Briana. It was nothing short of magical! “The way it unfolded,” Briana gleamed, “was absolutely breathtaking. The rings were a perfect match, just like the love they shared for each other.” And as if orchestrated by some divine force, we both said yes in harmony at the same instant. It was a moment of pure bliss!
In 2017, I, along with my partner, made our way back to the vibrant Twins Day Festival. There, we shared a beautiful joint ceremony that was truly memorable. Following this joyous event, we embarked on a new journey together, relocating to Virginia where we now reside harmoniously. Our shared dream has led us to manage and nurture the enchanting wedding venue, Smith Mountain Manor.
In the year 2021, not just one but two sets of twins became parents. Brittany and Josh introduced their son named Jett, who is currently 3 years old, in January. A few months later, in April, Briana and Jeremy welcomed their son Jax, also 3 years old. As their parents are identical twins, Jett and Jax have DNA that’s similar enough to make them biological siblings.
Briana clarified to ABC News that these individuals are referred to as ‘quaternary twins,'” explained Briana. “This means they are genetically brotherly and were born within about 9 or 10 months of each other, making them both brothers by genetics and age.
The four identical twin spouses have always been open about their lives, openly displaying them to the world through their joint Instagram account, as they participate in what is known as a quaternary marriage – a term for when identical twins marry identical twins.
On January 10th, they shared a video accompanied by Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather,” discussing their unique family setup. They are twins married to other twins, and they’re thrilled about the double joy of having quadruple twin sons!
Apart from updating about their recent festive celebrations, they uploaded numerous photos on Instagram on December 14th. Their caption read, “Jett and Jax enjoy the annual tradition of constructing and embellishing gingerbread houses. This year, invite your mini helpers to join a charming gingerbread house decorating escapade! Stimulate imagination with gumdrop roofs, candy cane trails, and lots of bonding time.
However, it doesn’t mean their lives are free from strife; instead, they have learned effective ways to handle challenges within their four-person marriage throughout the years.
In 2023, Brittany told People, “When Josh and Jeremy have an argument, Briana and I avoid getting involved. Similarly, if Briana and I ever disagree, Josh and Jeremy try to steer clear of it. It’s a strategy that seems beneficial for any married couple.
She additionally observed that they adopt an “everlasting courtship” attitude towards their marriages. “Each pair effectively maintains the equilibrium of being both best friends and family, while preserving a sense of formality,” Brittany pointed out. “I believe many couples fall into this pattern, which I think can be detrimental. They are very close, yet they manage to maintain it as a romantic relationship.
Undoubtedly, Brittany, Josh, Briana, and Jeremy are deeply appreciative of the unique path their lives have followed.
